ok ok, the initial reason i rebuilt the carb was only because it would leak down fuel when i shut it off and that caused startups to be annoying. OTHER THAN THAT, she ran BEAUTIFULLY!!!!! plenty of power, very responsive, vaccum secondaries working great and kicking in just right. now, the throttle is all messed up staying high and not so responsive, the secondaries dont open at all, startup isnt any easier and i spent so much damn time working on it. i dont understand. i'm swaping to a tII motor but not for a good while. i want this thing to run, if i could just fix this carb situation she will rule again. it's a very strong motor!!!! AHHHH! i'm not as mad as i was, but still this sux ***.

Carb problems suck, I speak from experience...

Rebuilding them... is a bitch. I bought another carb to avoid having to reassemble my nikki... and now *this* one doesn't want to co-operate!

Just take a breather, and take your time figuring things out.... It is afterall your first rebuild isn't it? The fact that it actually starts at all is a tribute to the fact that it's in one piece! Now that you've done it once... if you have to you can take it apart again, and see what went wrong.... or give up, grab some dough, ship it to Carl, and sleep more easily (my chosen solution if mine doens't start working soon!)

Good Luck! I really hope it starts figuring itself out for ya!
