Still cleaning.
I've come to the conclusion that the definition of "Show Preparation" should be "the process of transferring as much dirt and oil as possible from a car, to a person."
Skunging out wheel wells is not joyful.

Installed the banzai racing double sheave pulley and belts today, no more squealing woohoo.
Stopped by the junkyard and picked up some parts off of a couple random cars, I will being making my own alternator adjusting tensioner for the 7, along with a gas shock to raise my hood.

Got my car's picture on the Autoweek website:

Image 21 of 37 on their Gallery coverage of the Benedict Castle Concours, last Saturday.

Finally got motivated and upgraded my wheels from 13" to 16"! Have a couple different adapters that have been sitting on the workbench for almost a year. The 4x110 to 5x114 were bought from Motorsport-tech.com. Excellent build quality and mounting hardware. They're going to be used when I scrape together enough cash for a set of Volks Racing 16s. I went with the 4x114 adapter since I had rims readily available. The rims are a weird brand called Concept Seven and they're a +30 offset., tires are Champiro 195/50s. Great fitment with tons of clearance from the struts and springs. Might go a bit wider in the rear, probably 205 or 215... Need to install the lowering springs and reduce that wheel well space now.

I drove across three states to pick up a really primo stock SA exhaust for the current restoration I am working on. Never thought I would see one of these in such good shape. It is complete, almost rust free and even has the original oem muffler!!

Aaaand the bad news...

For those of you who don't know exactly what the bad news is, in that cavity there should be a spring loaded thermal pellet that provides oil pressure to the rotors via the e-shaft. That's about all I know, I'll see if I can bait someone else into answering the question in detail:
What exactly does the thermal pellet do? And, why is it so bad that I didn't have one installed?

I'm tipping too much horsepower, combined with a violent gear shift here and there. It's behind a 12a with a T04z bolted to it, being run through a TII gearbox. It has a considerable amount of horsepower.
Swapped out some Hawk HP+ front brake pads for some quieter, less dusty Centric
Ceramics from rockauto.com. Much better now. I knew the Hawks might be a bit noisy but
jeezus, it was unreal. I'll save em for a track day.
I also have the RB slotted rotors, has anyone noticed extra brake noise using these? The new
pads are much quieter but still squeak a bit on light application (like rolling to a stop). I'm
wondering if the slots may cause this behavior?

Grim.
As to what I'm bin doin... carbon fibre battery box. Snow White decals involved. Oddly. That's the downside of letting your li'l daughter "help" in the garage

I see that Hawk has changed the HPS pads starting in Jan 2015 to the HPB compound which is higher friction but is supposed to have all the same characteristics of the older HPS pad. I have the older pad compound in my car.
