Ordered a 3 row aluminum radiator and 16" electric fan for my 83 GSL. Planning on running the fan as a pusher mounted in front of the radiator in order to free up some space and do away with the clutch fan.

That came out great! I was looking for generic hood vents last year but didn't like any if them except for one but it was huge. This looks a lot nicer and from what I quickly see, pretty cheap as well. Thanks for sharing, will have to keep this in mind for the future.

Removed my inop auto choke off of my Holley 4160, and rigged up a "custom" manual choke. Not having the choke plate full open should make starts a hell of a lot easier, and give me some cold weather use as well. Also lubed up the choke cable. Old New
Edit to add: I realized that I hooked it up backwards. The **** full in, is full choke. And the **** full out makes the plate go full open.

That is sweet! I love it when people figure stuff like this out.
Two days ago, I took delivery of a set of 13x8 SSR Speed Star Mk III wheels. Pretty light wheels...11.2 lbs each. They need work, so they're getting boxed up and are going to be sent off for the refurbishment they need. Once they get back, they'll be wrapped in Hoosier A6s and will become my auto-x wheels.
On that same day, I picked up a set of cheap 14x7 no-name aluminum alloys to use for daily driver duty. Last night, I started cleaning them up. Got one mostly done. Two are going to be easy to clean up, two (presumably the front wheels, due to all the caked-on brake dust) are going to be a b1tch. Picking up a wire wheel tonight. This is what the one that's mostly cleaned up looks like:

New radiator's in; thus far, no leaks.
Hot tip; at least some the aftermarket rads for SA's are being made with incorrect spacing on the threaded holes on the left side bottom that accept the FMOC oil-cooler mounting bolts. Holes are too close together by about 1/8". It's the forward hole that is misplaced, but as these are threaded inserts in the radiator support it's not possible to correct the radiator itself.
Easiest solution is to use a dremel with a high-speed steel cutter & elongate the FRONT hole on the removable FMOC mount about 1/8" toward the REAR of the vehicle. Fixes everything up nicely.
I considered returning the rad, but there's no way to tell if the next (or any other) one I got would have a similar issue... and I was 3/4 done installing before I found this little issue, and racing short winter daylight to finish.

ioTus, craaaazzy,
Thanks...yeah, the no-name 14-inchers are actually decent looking wheels...especially once they're cleaned up. Perfect for daily driver duty.
The SSRs will be sent to a wheel restorer tomorrow to sort out the bends and get a complete refinish. It's going to be costly, but in the end, I'll have exactly what I've been looking for...13x8 SSR MKIIIs w/gold centers. They should be done by the end of the month.
craaaazzy, you're widebody looks great. Someday I'd like to do a widebody conversion, but for the time being, I'll have to be content with fender flares.
