Central Valley Rotaries
Actually, for the first time I'm living up to BOTH parts of my screen name. You probably couldnt tell because it was dark, but look up images of Anthracite Supras, that's the color mine is. It truly is a Chocolate Supra.
Regarding the $200 FD not true it's a FC sadly found out but I'm getting parts from it later today
If you guys are interested, there's a Cars and Coffee meet in Bakersfield on October 27 from 7am-9am. It happens on the last Saturday of every month in front of Kohl's on Rosedale Highway. This is only going to be the 3rd month but so far a lot of cars have been attending. I recall seeing a couple rotaries last month.
Since its been shown that the StanceNation stuff is pretty much useless if not harmful for drag racing, road racing, etc, I've long been curious as to what kind of motorsports the super stanced cars are optimized to compete in. After all, everything from hood scoops to big spoilers began as practical, necessary race car features, no matter how played-out and tacky their street-applied versions can seem sometimes.
Well, I've finally found the competitions that the stance stuff works well for, and I swear its so mesmerizing I can't stop watching it.

with the stock suspension, there would be no need for going so slow over the curb (do they know that THINK ABOUT IT lol), I wonder if they cross the railroad tracks the same way, would the tracks hold up the car and be stuck in traffic, (I know railroad tracks on roads are flush to the road well most are) they'd get stuck there anyway though. Hehe :P
That's BS....no force induction. Then what....put the remaining Rx8 motors into the new Rx7?
What waste.....I would consider buying one if the motor was build on the history of what really makes an rx7 a rx7 instead of just another production car.....
What they really need to do is put a 3 rotor into it and call it the rx7 that everyones been waiting for.
just my .02 cents

Or if they could have the 16x produce the numbers they say it should. I think people would be good with 270~ to the wheels and some decent mpg. Only time will tell
Also next meet is gonna be on the 17th for those not keeping track of days. I'm thinking it's time for a Fresno oriented meet location wise, Red Robins anyone?

The big difference between the new 16x rotary they're building and the 13B will be torque. Lots and lots of torque. People close to the 16x project have said that without forced induction it'll still make more hp and much, much more torque than the twin-turbo 13B-REW from the FD, and with the goal that the next RX7 be lighter than the FD, that will make it a rocketship. The way they're talking this sucker will blow the RX8 out of the water, and be at least as fast as a tuned and ported FD.
Unless you consider Jaime, Regina, Cesar, and Ricky's presence in Visalia as being enough to be considered the Grand Unveiling. Which you probably don't. Because you aren't any of those people.
BTW I hate California.

The FD3s body still out styles the rx9/16x for now. Not much a fan with the new body. Kinda looks like a toy out of a happy meal.

See ya guys at the next meet. Got my wiring squared away finally last week.
Also yes California smog ftf

Well, don't count on the Supra being there. It failed smog rather miserably and the temporary registration will expire before the meet so we have some work to do before its Grand Unveiling.
