Time Slips
Was tonight via a GTech Pro RR Meter on a so so bit of back road.
Did a 13.7 @ 107 Mph with two people in the car and a full tank of gas.
My 60 foot time was attrocious.
Also tried a 0 - 100 Kph - 0 Test.
Managed a 9.8 seconds with a 6.0 0-100 time
has anyone else tried this how did you go.
A 7.0 or lower is considered out of sight brilliant for the go to whoa.

Ran 12.68 this fall on low boost prior to blowing my clutch.

Went to the track last night and tried out the street tires, they suck!
But still pulled an 11.67 at 124.93 with a blistering 2.04 60 ft time.
The last run was looking better with a 1.89 60ft but the clutch started slipping in 2nd 3rd 4th and ran a 11.94 at 120.19!
Im not going back with out the et's its just not worth the possible damage to the diff or axles.
Plus i like running 10's.

Well, just made it back from the track...Took the 7 for the first time yesterday. Unfortunately it was 88 degrees at ESTA!!!
In any case, we all ran...My best run was a 12.7 @ 116 with a 2.1 60'. The car made 368.5 rwhp and 303.3 rwtq, and I'm guessing it was a combination of my skinny tires (225s...255s are on the way) and the heat that didn't let me into the low 12's (or maybe even high 11's). I know several people on the board are making less power and getting into the 11's, but I'm sure it's all about 60' and traction.
Any advice/comments would be much appreciated.
Also, to note, I had about a half tank of gas and my car has a full interior...just removed things like the airpump and spare tire.

Will do, thanks!
My Nitto NT 555's came yesterday, so those are going on tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to say hello to traction now!
Also, it may be worth noting that there was a cocky douche there with an 07 Z06 there that couldn't break into the 12's because it was so damn hot (and he couldn't drive)
Finally, with a professional driver it hit a 12.5 @ 115...I laughed because I was still trapping higher.
Here's a link to the video for the day if you're interested. => http://videos.streetfire.net/video/4...ark_158100.htm
Some of the commentary is great! Unfortunately he was cutting the video a lot of the time before catching the trap speed.
Most of the day I was trapping 115, 116, with my highest at 117 during 2 runs.
My best 60' was a 2.1, and I was launching around 5500 rpms...Any higher seemed to want to burn what's left of the tires up.
And for whatever reason, it sounds like I'm bogging/short shifting in the video, though I can assure you I'm not.
Also, watch at 3:28 in the video when my buddy in his 94 Tracer Wagon beats the Z06 out of the hole! ROFL!

Thanks! The blue foxbody definitely schooled me out of the hole, but I ran em down shortly after the 1/8th...Then the silver 5.0....he was hilarious. He was REAL arrogant, and thought he was going to get me. The best part is that I had just made 2 runs back-to-back before running the silver 5.0, so my car was getting slower (thank you heatsoak), and I still got 'em running a meager 13.07.
Went to CA speedway today. I think I was the ONLY FD there... even out of 450+ cars. So sad
I got a lot of comments on my car, even though it looks pretty stock from the outside
Anyway, ran my FD today. 1st time I ever went to the drag strip. Mods in my vbgarage (see sig). Around 280-290 rwhp @ 13 psi boost & 2935 lbs (2/3 tank gas + me). Ambient temps were probably around 90 degF (or possibly more since we were at the track). All passes made on street tires, 35 psi (trying to maintain street trim). Track elevation is 1121.27 ft above sea level. All I want to say is that I am terrible out of the hole. My goal was to run sub-13s. I know this car can do it. How about some tips from you more experienced guys
Check out this calculator (not sure how accurate it is) and plug in some numbers.... if you're curious: http://www.s-series.org/htm/calc/hpcalc.htm

I ran a 12.6 at 111mph with a 2.0 60 foot. It was spinning off the line a little and spinning most of second. PFS dyno'ed it at 320rwhp at 9-10psi and it was hot.
