That's a nice 60' for those tires! What's your mph in the 1/4?

Sorry but the 1/4 mile track I made this time only have 60' and 1/4 time, I know is between 118 to 126mph because of the top speed display on the apexi commander 190 to 202Kmh, I know this info doesn't work for you but I don't have it sorry.

extra info, stock transmission, lsd(4.10 ring & pinion, Torsen) and suspension. drive shaft chromoly axels. hoping to get a TII clutch lsd with a 4.44 rx-8 ring and pinion, what do you guys think??

regards

Some of you guys are making some really impressive MPH numbers. You're going to have some easy mid 10's on a good launch. Do they still make M&H's? I managed a best of a 1.62 60' with a set of M&H dot tires on stock rims. My MPHs were never in the 130's. I think the best was 10.98 @ 126mph.

Dont think i can get a better launch on the kumhos. Need better rated tires, and lower intake temps. Then maybe high 11s

You must know how to launch good cause that's pretty darn good for the first time with that car, I assume that's your best for the day.

That was my second run. I ran a 12.7 on my first time. I then figured out how to launch the car and ran an 11.7@117, a 11.8@116, then a 11.86@117. This was with launching at 8k with 14psi in the tires.

Thats the ticket... Most are affraid to launch this way but cutting a good 60 makes all the differance.

congrats on a new BP!

when u say launching at 8k do u mean holding the revs constant there or are u modulating the gas?

I rev it up to the limiter when the first light goes on. I wouldn't recommend people doing that on a stock diff and axles though. Mine blew on the launch when I tried that. It was on a Kazz with 300m axles.

New best time:

60ft - 1.58
660 - 7.328
11.49@117.8mph

Got kicked off for no cage. Last time racing on the twins, I will be single by the next drag race and going for 10's.

I may have to come and visit you and check out your ride What fuel are you using and what AFR and timing in the powerband if you don't mind me asking (you can PM me so as to not clutter the thread)

Tell that to my stock diff and axles with 250+ drag passes.

Drop the drag radials and get a set of et streets bias ply. I think 9500rpm is too much. BTW is your motor balanced for high rpm? What springs and struts are you using?

Mine blew on my first ever drag launch. Im just speaking from my own personal expirience. You are an exception, most people's torsens let go when they hit the 11 sec range. Try and do a search on the forums.

This setup should be in the low 10 range...

Like mentioned, get ET Streets, pop (not ride) the clutch at around 8k rpm with around 10-12psi (cold) in the tires, shift fast, pick up your 10 sec slip.

Next time will try it at 8K rpm, just to let you know I shift at 8.5K rpm.

And About the tires I have to be in the 10sec with Drag Radial because all the supras in the same category I race are in the 10sec with the hoosier.

My car has 602RWhp@30psi also have 50hp wet shot with NX Boost based progressive controller cutting at 22psi and 7k rpm. when I use the NOS my car reaches 630RWhp.

I have found 2 problems:
- Greddy Type R BOV is very hard to set up and the turbo has to much lag between each shift.
Will upgrade to a TIAL BOV... Any Suggestion!!!!!!!!
- My Exhaust is: Downpipe 3" midpipe 2.75" catback 3"
Will Upgrade to 4" the entire exhaust system.

Regards

I have been around awhile and drag racing before most on here were out of diapers. So I have no need searching the forums. My point is it can and has been done. I learned long ago to pull all the slack out of the driveline before the launch. I blame that on my good results. I truly expected it to go by now and have a back up TII on hand. I will most likely go solid rear after that.

rain_mk14, whats your mph on those passes? Not sure why they want you on radials, they kill IRS cars. I refuse to race in events that call for radials.
