Exactly...your tach signal was off on the dyno. The dyno measures HP and computes torque based on the equation HP = (TQ x RPM) / 5252. You rearrange to solve for TQ and get TQ = (HP x 5252) / RPM. If your RPMs were reading lower than they actually were your TQ would have gone through the roof....It happened to my friend's wagon on the dyno...

So what would be a good number for the midrange? Is it possible to adjust this leanness with the Apexi controller? Another problem is that this dyno test is the only spot which offers serious dyno testing in Switzerland! But this guy had no clue about rotary engines...also that he couldn't messure a certain range of rpm seems weird to me...do you know anyone near Switzerland who is more professional about dynoing a Rx7 (I don't want to do a world travel)

Dyno'd today. 402 rwhp at .94 bar on PFC, 15psi on the autometer boost gauge, 16psi on the dyno's gauge. AFR's were showing about .5 leaner on the LC1 logs, just swapped in a 3 bar last night and I haven't tuned for it yet, hence the huge rich spot in the map.
Ran 11.58@121 in the 1/4 mile last week (w/o the rich spot). Not a drag racer, just went to get an 11 sec slip, prob could shave some .1's off it if I really cared, but I'd rather save it for the road course.
Mods:
T4/GT40 Turbo(don't even know if phoenix turbo still makes it)
Tial 44mm WG, atmosphere dump
SS equal length manifold, supposedly Gotham.
3" full exhaust, no cat
CAI, M2 Large SMIC
port matched, double throttles removed
Pineapple medium intake streeport template, exhaust by me.
1600cc secondaries, FPR, SR Ultimate fuel pump
MSD 6A, 2nd Gen coil leading
PFC, Datalogit & LC1, logged and tuned by me
Timing derived from some old Westbrook maps
Exedy twin carbon clutch/flywheel
91 octane gas with about 20% toluene for octane boost to about 93

Stock twins dyno

I know some of you have been asking for a graph of a pretty stock setup, so this should be helpful.

The dyno was a dynapack direct chassis setup so the figures should be alot more accurate than a rolling road.

My car is a JDM 92 3rd gen, only mods are an intake (very similar to the HKS setup, just twin pod filters really). As its a JDM model it doesn't have a pre-cat. It has had an auto->manual conversion done at some point, so there's another 500rpm that could be used.

Peak power: 181 KW atw (243HP) @ 10psi

I've been having problems with the vacuum tube that goes to the pressure tank popping off, and I believe it may have happened on this run (as it was definitely popped off when I checked it when I got home). There is a boost drop at 5300rpm from 10psi to 8, giving a sudden 20hp drop. If this the case there's probably a fair bit more available.

Anyway, very happy with the result, 243RWHP should be around 280 flywheel, so that's pretty good considering its a series 6.

I'm sorry but you are very wrong. Torque is the turning force. Power is derived from Torque. Not the other way around like you stated. And btw you dont have to put parenthasis, multiplication and division are conjugative.

the correct formula is Power=TORQUE*RPM/5252.

That graph is in Newton*meters(Torque) and PS(Power). They have different values that American units so that formula doesnt apply anyway. But power is still derived from torque. No traditional dyno can read power, only torque

Nice, with emissions intact too. I'm liking the torque below the transition point. Your transition could probably use some work, but I bet your car is very fun on the street Looks pretty lean up top IMO, I would talk to your tuner about that before you lean into it too much... where was the WBO2 reading taken? Before or after cat?

So how do you have max HP at the 5,500 to 6,000 range? I would think with a rotary you would have max HP much higher in the power band than this.

HP peaks at 6400, but that's definitely not a happy combo right now.

Yep, read it backwards but that is still too early for a 13B to peak.
