offset too high. in order to fit 9's, you'll need 15-25 (ish) up front, 25-35 in rear. all depends on tire of course.

Seriously, I'm writing a fitment guide and forcing the mods to sticky it.

You'd do well with a +20-25 offset front with 9" wide wheel, and 245/45R17,

and a 17 x 10 +15-0 offset rear on 10" wheel and 275/40R17.

What kind of wheels? Are you looking for stretch-o-drift-tyte fitment or grip fitment?

Most people think that if they do even the lightest stretch there tire is going to fall of. and a 225 on a 8.5? I think your going to need to roll your fender ether way. Plus I thought that wheel fitment (in general) was to get rid of the wheel gap from the stock rims to shape out the car.
I know the setup Im looking to run for my drift setup at the moment will be 18x10.5 +20 front and rear with a 235 40 strech in the front and a 265 35 in the rear. Of course Im going to be running 25mm front fenders and 30mm rear over fenders. If anything I may change the front tire to a 225 40 but Ill see what I like. And thats a little more aggesive than a 10 wide.

I am about to buy some new rims and i was wondering if i would be able to fit 17x10 +20, or 17X10.5 +27 all the way around, i will have shine wide fenders and pull in the rear or would i need spacers to fit?
thanks

You'll need a 10mm spacer up front, atleast to clear the coils. Rears should be fine with a pull.

and with the spacers they will sit nicely under the wide fenders, i believe they are 30mm.. what spacers would you recommend for flush fit. also what size tires would you recommend?

Why are you running a taller tire in the rear?

2 reasons... cheaper tires and 40 series in the rear will cause me to drag the back of the side skirts.

Should be flush with that spacer I mentioned at 0 camber (if you're using the 17x10 +20). You'll need a bigger spacer (not sure which) if you're going for that "hella flush" look with camber and stretched tires. If not, you can try 255/40/17 up front, if not 275/40/17 (if you don't mind the increased sidewall height)

What do you want to do with this car?

no spacers needed, you can fit up to 275/40/17 (prolly need to roll fenders for that).
best bet is 255/40/17

does anyone here know if an 18x9.5 +12 front and 18x11 -19 rear would clear on the fc without using a wide body? Planning on getting the ssr's ms1 and i want to make sure it can clear.

thanks for the help, i ended up getting 17x10.5 +27 and have 15mm spacers. nothing is on yet. i was thinking about going 245/40/17 or is that too small? the car is my daily; in the future i plan to track it but i expect to have another set of wheels and tires for that.

btw thanks for all the help macz. much appreciated!

Good deal, you may need more spacer for the front, but try it out and see! Post pictures while you're at it Good luck man.
