Will they stick out at all? Or fit inside the fenders? Will I need to do a fender roll if I lower it 1.5 inches on some Tein lowering springs? What tire size would you recommend?

No you need like +20 or less to stick out. Your clearance should be fine. Doubt you'll need a roll or anything.

Tires, you could run 225s all around or like 215/45 in the front and maybe 235/45 in the rear. You won't be able to rotate obviously so I'd go for a stagger setup. Look around tho, lost of people run a 8"/9" stagger.

 

MaczPayne, couple questions for you. Is he on spacers? Who's FC is that?

 

could anyone tell me if these tires will touch or rub the fenders or wheel-wells and if not how much wider could i go with the rears, i dont want them to stick out of the wheel wells and i still want them to be inside the fenders for suspension clearance.

Those will work no problem.


Car belongs to a friend of mine. The wheels are actually +38, but he's running a small spacer, 3-5mm. So effective offset is +33 - 35mm.

You can run a 225 front and 245 rear if you want, and if the front rubs, a small spacer will solve the problem.

I also found this article hp loss with larger rims/tires and heavier I knew it happened but I did not think it would be that much. the trade off is higher mph @ the same rpm but its only like 2 to 3 mph

Question for people running spacers. For like a 10 or 15mm bolt-on spacer is there any modification needed for the stock studs?

 

^^ with your XXR wheels there will be. Because they are drilled for 5x114.3 and 5x100 (i think) the factory studs wont match up with the other bolt pattern. That means you will need to cut the factory studs.

 

So I have a question about putting new tires on the stock wheels. The stock tire size I have is 205/60r15. I found that a 225/50r15 will fit and be around the same size height wise as the stock tire, as to not throw my speedo off too much. The question I have is will I obtain any handling benefit from putting a wider tire on the stock rim? Or should I just save my money to get rims in the future?

They are RPF1's and here are the sizes:

Front: 17x9 with an offset of 22
Rear: 17x10 with an offset of 18

I'm not too sure about the tire sizes I should go with either. Help me out peeps

 

I'm thinking maybe these tire sizes:

For the 9's 235/45/17
For the 10's 255/45/17

 

Yeah they are 5-lug universal but I was wondering if the spacers would cover up the studs...

 

Wheel setup is bang-on, should clear the coils nicely.

With those tire sizes, expect a roll and flare on all corners. A good friend of mine is running the same wheels, but with 255's and 275's (requires more flare).

 

Do you mean roll and pull? Or an actual fender flare because I'd really like to avoid that? Thanks btw man

Oh and please note I do not have coils yet. They will be coming in the future. Will they clear stock suspension components for the time being?

i'd go with 235/40 and 255/40 on that setup, with good rolling. maybe a small pull in the rear

 

I don't know if that setup will clear the stock suspension up front, you may need a spacer if the wheel/tire touches. This in turn will also determine the amount of roll/pull you need.

Josh's suggestion for 235's up front will allow you to get away with less pull.

I was wondering if I can run a 17x8 with a 31mm offset in the front with a 225/45/17 tire. and a 17x9.5 with a 29mm offset in the rear with a 255/40/17. these are my options for a set of ssr type-C rims. I want them better suited for performance not looks but I want 17's, so please help me find my answer for the best wheel size and tire size for all around performance.

Well, I got my wheels, 15x8 -24 and 15x10 0 they stick out about an inch outside the stock body, There is plenty of metal in the rear to roll it over (with the combination of a tire stretch). What concerns me is the front finder, I'm thinking I can roll that about 20mm out and with the tire stretch combo fit it snuggie lol... If that fails there are always some chaser aero front finders.... Anyway I plan on bangin frame so my question is what size tire should I get... I'm thinking a 205/50 in the rear. and a 195/50 maybe a 45 in front, I'm nervous lol Anyone got some pics? Keep in mind I'm not a fan of wheel gap but big sidewall stretches are ewwwww I think stretched 50s are about as in the middle as I'm going to get. But thats why I'm here, I'm not sure of that.
