haha can't wait to see that 'show car' at pro-am. it will never be able to spin the wheels with a borg warner. haha. damn i can't see how you rotary guys do it. at least nissan people are more accepting. you guys have your sphincters held shut. you need to loosen up a bit and realize not everything is 60s ballon tire fitment.

Ah, S13 / S14 dumbasses...
They are typicall younger.
Younger usually implies more stupid.
Yeah, so saying they ar more accepting, I'd agree that they are a bumch of dumbasses too.

I think it's the drift punks that have their "sphincters held shut".
Look at who is getting all bent out of shape?
Them.
Who's swearing and pointing fingers and calling people names?
Them.

I didn't say it couldn't work.
I have a problem when these dumbasses think they know tire tech better than the tire manufacturers themselves...

Oh, don't bother replying.
Nothing useful is going to come out of your mouth anyways...

These guys set a trap, and everyone is falling for it (again and again and AGAIN). ******* TROLLS. If they weren't into "MeGa TiGhT DoRifTo ActInoN" they'd be Goth kids going to extremes for SHOCK value just to **** off "normal" people with extreme hair, white pale skin and stupid shiney boots with 10" platform heels on them. There will always be DUMBASSES that do **** simply for shock value and always need to one up the next guy to the point of riDICKulousness such as the last pics. The more extreme the more better, to hell with taste, moderation and even FUNCTION. Goes for other groups too, with their 32" rims. Its an extreme of one dumbass one-upping the last dumbass, again to hell with taste, moderation and function. So stop giving into the trolls. They throw this **** out just so they can waste 5 more pages about how everyone is old and stupid, but us intelligent real CAR PERFORMANCE orientated guys/gals know the truth. That’s my rant, so far over the last few years I've just sat and for the most part watched because "to each his own" but now its just stupid ******* kids looking to pick fights. GROW THE **** UP! All the REAL drifters still run 255 and 275 sectioned widths, its only these wannabe's and punk *** GHETTO rides that run those STUPID *** 215 on a 11.5" wide rim fitments. I'm guessing all you idiots don't have pants that fit either right? Its the mad tight look, **** function of pants that fit and stay on your ***, "I'll just walk around using one hand to hold my damn pants up, its UBBER TIGHT YO and they can see my mad tight boxes too!" I for one vote for a stickie dedicated to the whole ghetto drifto look. Let them have page after page of self-promoting shameless pics of their cars and go on and on about having "real *****" in fitting wheels / tires.

Resfresh your hesh patna!

You started in with the whining. Just FYI BoostinmyS5 has a d1 license, and that car makes like 400whp or some nonsense, for comps he runs like 235/275 stagger iirc.

215 on an 11.5 would be epic, I bet he will run that same fitment for demos and the car will still do awesome.

Go back to worrying about REAL PERFORMANCE, like the kind you lack sexually...or something.

That's the definition of NON-FITTMENT.
hah. wow.

So many of you all are stuck in the 80s of balloon tires, battleship stance, and monster truck wheel gap. Listening to you all preach about actual flushness being "disgusting" and "unsafe" is ridiculous.

did you even look at the pictures?!?!???

that is the most retarded thing I've ever seen. that car is totally un-drivable unless it has springs that are so stiff you might as well just have welded bars there instead of suspension. they would be lighter...

if I saw that car in a parking lot, I would be like "wow, look at this dumb guy who's tires are so thin that they popped a lip." because that's what it looks like, I don't even understand how they're actually sealed... if they are at all.

that looks completely ridiculous. and has no proformance gain at all, in fact it has the exact oposite...

I would hardly call 40 aspect ratio tires "baloon tires" and any lowering springs or coil overs get rid of any wheel gap pretty damn well. I would call that "a nice fit". next time you see an F1 car or a GT car with wheels and tires like that let me know...

Yea, my 225/45/17's on 17x8 30mm offset wheels are "ballon tires" that are far inboard and my lowered car on coilovers has a "battleship stance" (since when did battleships have wheels?) and "monster truck wheel gap". RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT. Get your facts straight.

My tires fit nice and squarely on the wheel, there's hardly any fender gap and the wheels are about as flush as can be without rubbing.

You're not even old enough to drink.

What's wrong with the 80's?
I graduated from high school back then.
Yep, I grad for high school before you were born.
Damn kids nowadays...

Don't bother to reply.
You're on the ignore list too.

got the car back from paint at 8pm sat, got the rest of the aero at 12am that night, stayed up til 6:30am putting the car back together, left for vegas at 7am, got to vegas at 12:30 just in time to get the car registered for SEMA, then spent all day putting on vinyl... trust me, i'd much rather have been at HTM killing the downhill section through the water tower...

haha F1/GT car comparison to a production car. Lemme know when michelin will make a set of tires just for my vehicle. so do you run 230x610x17 slicks?? Oh yah all those major tire manufacturers aside from dunlop make special compounds for drifting. And 'real' drifters who pay for there tires. drift on what they can afford. ooooohhhhhh.

Do have graphs and charts of the camber curve of your vehicle? How about actual corner weighting? Have you relocated suspension pickup points to regain the geometry of your arms to near factory angles. Until you start to dwell in those areas. Bite me. and BTW racers have been stretching tires to help setup suspension for quite some time.

Your form of 'ideal' fitment isn't for every application. OE GT3s come with 35 and 30 series rubber. OMG its too thing it hampers handling and braking OMG noooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!

Uuuuu...scary...
Someone who thinks they know what they are talking about, unlike most of the drift idiots in here...

The implication was that...if stretched tires were so superior in performance, why don't top tier racing use it?
We can throw out F1, cause if you really know your F1 tech, you'd know why too...

Since you mention GT3...

http://www.porsche.com/usa/models/91...s/?gtabindex=3

19" x 8.5", 235 / 35 / 19 F
19" x 12.0", 305 / 30 / 19 R

Yes, you were right about the ASPECT RATIO, but we're talking about stretch here...

PORSCHE is NOT running some ******' 195 wide tires on it's 8.5" front wheel...
PORSCHE is NOT running some ******' 205 wide tires on it's 12.0" rear wheel...

THAT was the POINT.

BTW, those tire sizes (i.e. widths) versus wheel widths are perfectly within recommendations of almost all (if not, all) tire manufacturers in the world.

No, it sounds like the "drift guys" are making dumbass arguments. So what, I have to completely re-engineer my suspension or else I have to like stretched tires?

I'd disagree that "racers have been stretching tires to help setup suspension for quite some time". Sure they'll put tires on wheels that are at the wide end of the reccomended spectrum for better grip and handling, but comparing that to stretching a 215 onto a 11" wheel is idiotic.

in F1 they stretch a 185 on an 11 inch wheel.

For cereal.
