Sounds like it is firing on only one rotor or only on the trailing plugs.

If you had a PFC ecu, it would be easy to verify.

If running only on trailing plugs and you advance the IGT, the engine would smooth out. That would mean your leading coil was bad (that is if the plugs and cables are good).

Then you can play with the leading injector lag times to lean or richen the #1 or #2 rotors to see if it is only running on one rotor or that rotor has an injector leak.

The new shop manager down at Lonestar Motorsport, the shop at MSR Houston was the rotary guy up in Colorado for a long time. he has experience in building racing motors, and has gotten a lot more power out of my GSL-SE. Look him up at www.mrshouston.com his name is Louis Rivera.

Tell him Scott sent you.

There aren't any RX7 performance shops in Houston.
MazMax is an independant RX7 shop that repairs but does not mod rotorys.

A few of us mod cars and engines. Kyle and I work on FDs but not earlier 7s except engine rebuilds.

Look up Lucas Automotive and Restoration for basic stuff, Engine Logics does some neat work. You need to not be an overly sensitive human at either shop! You might see if Tony Rivera is doing side work, I think he is still doing engine work.
Good Luck,
Dave

The guy down a Rotary Performance Plus I heard was good. His name is Gabriel. Be sure to bring one of these though!

Seriously, don't go to him.

Manuel,

I converted over a couple of my timing sets from my Haltech stuff into use for the Megasquirt. They're in the form of 12x12 tables that you guys use. They're posted up on the Megasquirt section of this forum but you can also access them from here:

http://bdc.cyberosity.com/v/Technica...ch/MegaSquirt/

That ought to help with how the car runs. For the time being, you can mess with fuel tuning stuff but be careful with it especially if you aren't very familiar with the software and the ECU. Don't load the car out and run a bunch of boost until it's tuned.

There really aren't any "reputable" shops in Houston (for rotaries).

You might consider coming out to a meeting and getting to know some of our local experts.

I merged your post in with a thread about the topic.
