i dont know if anyone has heard of Z's motorsports but i know a guy he did some work for and aslo he apparently has done other including several of his own but i dont know if i trust him hes kinda getto. He tried to sell me some crap and i dont know where it came from (prob. stolen) but if you want to talk to him yourself his place is off of kuykendul on the northside of 1960. i didnt want to take my chances with him so when its time (85k) im gonna tackle it myself i know a bit about cars jus didnt waant to spend the time to do it. but in all honesty there are two 7s over there now FC and FD and ive seen some off his work (bolt-ons) and he can alteast do that see what you think.

What about JCAutoSpec? I've heard really good things about them, you guys (specifically Killjoy) got any opinions on them?

Just makin a suggestion.....i didn't say he wasnt capable of doin the work;people get different impressions. The guy i know he did work for trusted him to work on his car and i drove it and it was fine... i personally just dont want him to work on my car; when it comes to the FD i can be ****.

It's cool.

Let's just say that first impressions can mean all the difference and your gut feelings might be correct.

hello guys, i am new here, but most in the houston rx7 club know me. i have the yellow 93 rx7. i have a friend who owns his own automotive shop in kingwood. he is the only person who touches any of my cars including my rx7. he is a perfectionist as am i, so we get along great. he is an awesome mechanic, and it doesnt matter what. his shop is always organized and profesional. he is a speed junky himself from cars to ducati bikes. he want let anyone near your car. it never has a grease mark on it when completed. i will stick my neck out for him anytime. also, if you go to his shop you will see cars from mercedes, ferraris, domestic to vintage. he has a loyal clientale. his name is victor montalbano, and his shop is vics automotive 281 354 2996. he is on northpark boulevard. barry

Smile The Official Houston Mechanic Thread

I'm tired of it all. I am not mechanically inclined enough to finish my car. I work two jobs, go to school full time, and have a house to maintain. I rarely have the time to finish what I started nearly 4 years ago.

I need a Rotary mechanic to come to my house and work on my car in my garage. I know it's more of a long term housecall, but I would prefer the mechanic to be mobile, and flexible with time.

I am willing to pay a very SUBSTANTIAL amount of money for his time and labor.

PM me for details, but basically in a nutshell this is what I need done:

1990 Convertible Auto converted to manual with a Jspec S5 TII motor.

I have a full front clip, and as far as I know, no missing parts. I just plain don't have the time.

Any help is appreciated, I would only require the mechanic to have done this type of work before, no guessing.

And yes, I have consulted gotham racing, unfortunately my car would have to sit/wait for about 3-4 months costing at bare minimum $2700 +.

how immediate do you need it done?
rats nest staying or going?

do you have a budjet for new parts and materials? (hoses, cleaning the injectors ect that come allong with doing it correct).

was that figured into your Quote from gotham?

1) I have only extracted both motors, that's it.
2) The sooner the better, but no deadline.
3) Going
4) Zero Mods. I want it absolutely stock minus an air filter.
5) I have a moderate budget in mind when it comes to new parts. Moderate, not tight.

Like I said, if anyone has questions about the work at hand, please feel free to PM me.

Thanks

I bought mine for $2500 and it wasn't from a JDM clip importer.

I attended the 7 club meeting tonight, and although I met some nice fellas, I couldn't stay the whole time, I have work at 8pm. I never got to meet this guy Chuck.

I didn't really get too much of anyone actually there at the meet that would work on my car, but I think I may use Phillip's buddy to work on mine.

I'm still looking for a mechanic soon.

Someone please help me out.
