Gabriel Gonzales/"Rotary Performance Plus" screwed me (long).
you really need to get him on tape, that would help. but in reality I would just write off the money and chalk it up to a learning experience. If you sue you will have a nice peice of paper that says he owes you money. Maybe you could frame it.
I started reading this because I am going to a shop in Arlington called Rotary Inovations and for a sec i thought they might be related, I realize they are not, but it made for intresting reading.

Anybody been to his shop, I mean shed lately?
OOPS... someone didn't do enough research....
-- This post was edited because the courrt case that was described did not pertain to the subject at hand.
-- The court case involved Rotary Performance (RP) out of Garland, TX and fellow competitior SR Motorsports (ShaneRacing/Ray Lochead) out of Southern California.
-- Vick and my own personal issues lie with a individual who claims the business name "Rotary Performance Plus" and is based out of Houston, TX.
Sorry bout that.. back to your normally scheduled thread....

Eightman1977, that is a TOTALLY different company. They are in Garland, not Houston. GG has nothing to do with SR Motorsports, or Rotary Performance in Garland.
Here is a great thread I found that is related to the subject matter at hand....

Somebody mentioned ghost. This GG guy is probably a Credit Ghost as well. No job, no credit, pays for everything in cash......a legal Ghost. EVEN if you get a judgement that leads to wage garnishements way in the future. When the DA catches up to him to serve papers to garnish the wages he quits flipping burgers here and starts frying french fries there. You'll never catch up with this idiot........never. Do yourself a favor go break his legs yourself spend 2 months in jail and 5 years probation for a first offense. You'll sleep so well in the pokey....knowing you messed his knees up for life. Sorry for being Mr. bad news.
With all the support you have there in the Houston RX 7 club,,,,,,You guys need to band together and help this guy out. I am positive that there are 50 parts cars that look just like his sitting in yards all over the South East Texas area. C,mon you guys give it up. Somebody that has their head on straight go over there and find out what that damn car needs and post it! You could have mined the iron ore needed and whittled a new car with a pocket knife by now. There is so much lying around I have parts that I don't need laying around here......and I'd take em over if I wasn't 1500 miles from home.......did that slip?? did you see me growing up around Memorial and Westbelt (beltway 8)??
As far as the short block is concerned, buy that RA video and learn how to do this stuff yourself. three guys or a thick branch on a oak tree will pull this motor out. Its only 300lbs!!! You can rebuild the short block on a picnic table in the back yard....b4 you flame...gota, gota, gota, gota be better than the BS your livin' in now
I'm not being mean. I not being negative. On the Contrary I am trying to inspire you.....you all. The thing I love about SoCal is the 'can do' attitude that almost everybody posseses out here. You need to import some of it to Houston.

**** Gabriel Gonzales. This thread should be a ******* sticky as far as I'm concerned.
If you can live with a settlement at $5000 max, then the small claims court is the way to go....for something like $125 more, you can even option to have a jury sit and listen to the evidence like a big crazy TV docudrama...
....nice part? You don't need a lawyer. YOU make the case and the judge and jury decide. If he doesn't show up, he's lost the case...I used the threat of the small claims court to get a third party insurance company to choke up a $4600 settlement ($2000 more than initially offered) when some old fart totaled my 1980 RX-7 three years ago...Poor little RXs don't fare well against 2003 Caddy's....

From a transient like GG? I concede the point. But if he files a tax return, he can be garnished...if he doesn't, you just put the guy on the rocks...as in the IRS takes every big tool or cabinet he might own and put it up for a good ol' courthouse steps auction....thus did My Mechanic meet its end....
