Not my call dear. I had NO desire for it to happen in the first place, but I had no control over it and my experience didn't hold much ground.

Keith had to remain impartial as club president. He let all the board members know of our experience and "the so called..."others" we've talked about who had been affected by GG's shady operations, but that was only "gossip" until now. However, he was outvoted.

Most of them are on the forum, so I'm hoping they'll read this and understand it wasn't just one bad deal, my(our) view or bad blood. It's down right disgusting and dishonest "business" if you can even loosely associate that work with GG, his affliates or RRP.

There's a club meeting on Tuesday, I'm hoping this becomes a topic for the board and they take action; but we will have to wait and see.

BTW...did you get your car back yet?

finally finished reading this thread and jumping back and forth links. this guy deserves a serious *** beat down. i hope he gets thrown in the slammer and a few sausages rammed up his rear end. i am relatively new to the boards and after reading 2 incidents about crooked shops (this and another) i find myself afraid to take my car to a shop now. i don't know why people do these sort of things. i guess they don't have a concience or understand the true value of a car or other peoples property.i have a 91 n/a fc and i would kill to have a car like your fd. all in all i "really" hope everything comes through for you and have gabe gets whats coming to him.

 

Not yet. Here's why.

I booked the tow truck for 7:00 pm and I was going to call the HPD to meet me out there to take my statement as well as his. I called up Gabriel to make sure he'd be there tonight so that he can open the gate and the garage where my car is locked up and to also get his statement.

I called him from a different phone as he's been avoiding me and I finally talk to him for the first time in weeks. First, I ask him what the status of my car is. He tells me, "Oh, the dent is completely pulled out, but I bought the wrong paint. I'm just waiting for the paint to come in." Total ******* lie. I went there last week (and again Gabriel was no where to be seen) and the car looked the same as it did for the past 2 months. Granted, there is a chance he's telling the truth, but come on, we're talking about Gabriel here! Anyway, I tell him, "No. I'm coming to night to pick up the car and I need either you or Julian to be there to open the gate." Gabriel then started asked me why and I told him what I've said time and time again. "If you can't finish the car, I'm going to take my car and find someone who will." He asked, "Whose gonna pay for it." Who the **** do you think, genius?

Well needless to say, he said he wasn't liable. As if I didn't see this coming, heh. After telling him he can just talk to my lawyer, Gabe then told me that I couldn't pick up my unless he was present... This is where I lost it. I yelled something to the effect, "What the ****? It's my PROPERTY and I can pick it up whenever I want. All I need from you is your statement and your ******* keys. That's it." The tow trunk company calls me on my house phone to confirm if I they are going to be able to have access to the shop to pick up the car. I just gave them Gabe's number so they can ask him direct. I get back on my cell with Gabe, tell him that they're about to call him and to call me back when the conversations done.

I must say the tow truck company was ******* awesome! They didn't put up with any of Gabriel's ****. The woman from Truck U.S.A. (tow company) asked him if he was going to be there tonight so they can pick up the car. Gabe said no. According to the dispatcher the rest of the conversation went something like this:

Truck U.S.A.-"Are you going to be there tomorrow then?"

Gabe- "I don't know."

Truck U.S.A.- "Well, one way or the other, we're going to come pick up that car tomorrow, even if you're not there. All we need is access to the vehicle."

I must say I'd rather Gabriel be a man by showing up tomorrow and taking care of his ****. Talk to the police, have them take down your statement, and when I leave, lie to everyone in sight to make it look like I'm being irrational. It's funny when I initially asked if he was going to be at the shop tonight, he said he'll be there at 9 or 9:30. When I mentioned that I was coming to pick up my car, he said he wasn't going at all. Anyway, Marcos Precision (and the gate) will be open tomorrow so my FD will be out of there no later than.

Now, back to me and Gabe's conversation. Gabe called back (suprisingly) and the converation continued:

Gabe- "Have your lawyer call me and then I can finish your car."

Me- "Gabriel, you don't understand. You're NEVER working on my car again! My car is coming home tomorrow and you'll soon be hearing from my lawyer but not before I take my car. I've given you chance after chance. Remember Sept. 13? It's now October!"

Gabe- "Ok, well have him call me first. After I talk to him, you can take your car."

Me- "He might call you in about a week or so, but I can't give you a specific day. He's too busy building a case against you. As for the car, I'm taking it tomorrow, whether you're there or not. The only reason I need you there is so that you can give your statement to the police. That's it."

Gabe- "I don't want you to take the car because I think you want to damage the car further and charge me for the damages.

W T F

The ******* nerve of this guy.

Me- "Gabriel, I've already taken pictures of all the damages in August. I'm also going to take pictures tomorrow and the police are going to assess the car and take down every little detail. You're the one whose been damaging my car..."

Gabe- "So this is how you wanna do it? You sure you wanna do this?..."

Me (at this point I'm ******* PISSED and interrupt)- "**** yeah I wanna do this. I'M READY. I'm MORE than ready!"

The little fudgepacker hangs up on me.

Anyway, I'm showing up with the calvary tomorrow. I can't wait to get my car out to Cypress and out of this snake's possession.

You know, Drew really dodged a bullet. He's lucky he got his car outta there when he could.

Anyway, I'm broke as a joke (all my money went to my FD) and if you can get the car running that'd be awesome. It's getting towed out to the house in Cypress. It's about 25 minutes away from your place.

I still want to get a quote on the motor though. Just in case you aren't able to fix it.

 

Hrm...You should call your lawyer and see if he can come up there with you tomorrow.

Now THAT'S cavalry. You, your lawyer, and HPD (and we know they don't joke around). Hell, you should see if Dr KJ will come along just for grin factor.

DUDE! That's exactly the **** I went thru, except where you got hung up on, I got extorted. Ya know, it's almost verbatim....maybe that's a script he memorzied for his clients....even our price ended up that same. LOL, expect a whole bunch of goons over there and all of a sudden you owe him this and that....bleah bleah.

Yea, GG, Aaron and Julian were in Ennis for the NHRA event both days, Saturday and Sunday (In August, come to think of it, I think that was the same week the bad weather happened in Houstonn?!?)

 

biomedgirl- The tow truck company is going to call Gabriel at 9:00 to see if he's going to be there. After that they'll give me a call with an estimate of what time they'll show up to his shop and when I should be there. I also have to call HPD tomorrow.

I would say so. He LIES about everything and like an idiot I believed him for a time. He's arrogant too. Gabe often talks crap about other rotary shops and how he's a big shot in Puerto Rico.

 

Anyone who is a big shot in one country shouldn't have a hard time proving it in another country. People talk big all the time. They need to put their money (rather than yours) where their mouth is. Any "shop" with a budget so small that they work out of a shed behind the house, probably shouldn't say anything bad about other rotary shops. At least they have facilities, a good reputation, respect, service, etc... I'll throw any rotary shop against him when it comes to knowledge any day. Hell, I myself would challenge him in the rotary department. I doubt that would be a challenge though.
