I think this advice was given 25 pages ago or 1 year and 3 months to be exact. To get what ever he could right away, put the car back on the road and forget about pain and suffering, since this dead beat had nothing worth taking.
But, "Wanna be Legal Experts" here said to get a lawyer and to sue him for all he got (which is nothing).
That option went down the toilet very quickly and with it the GG Fucked RX7.
So here we stand, 1 year and 3 months later and ****** GG is still in business screwing people and no resolution to the longest Internet Forum Saga.

 

subnote: as long as we save at least one would-be victim with this thread a year I am satisfied.

 

The poor souls that go to him(GG), are not reading this Forum.
With ALL the BAD talk about GG going around in the Houston area and/or the local RX7 Club, don't you think he would be out of business by now????

My point from the begining is still the same and time has validated my position on this matter.
Vick got NOTHING and lost a great car to that SOB of GG.
Vick is to be blamed in a not so small part, for keeping the car there.
He was watching the carnage slowly but surely and did nothing about it.
The car was there 1 year and 10 months!!!!!!!
He was sooo naive and gave GG the benefit of the doubt for so long????!!!!

Actuially, I know of at least 20 people (new owners or people who are just discovering the forums) whom have come to me looking for information about the mechanic. After spending 10 mins reading this thread they have sought other assistance from either one of the local shops that are "trusted" or have gone North (to Dallas) looking for help.

 

So my point is, his business should be suffering Big time by now, to the point of No business.
I mean how long will it take to put him out of business???
How many rotaries are there in Houston changing hands????
With the word of mouth spreading about him from owner to owner, he should be done by now.
There are only a finite number of Rotaries in the Houston area and with less and less on the road every day, he can't have a growing business.

 

Well you really have to define "business"..

He used to work out of a shed (big enough for 1 car and some parts) behind a real shop.

To my knowledge he now doesnt even have that luxury, last time I was in the area things looked pretty empty over there. His whole method of operation pretty much revolves around business cards, a bag of tools and some smooth talking.

Never to my knowledge has he actually owned what would be considered a shop. Gabriel is no more than a shadetree mechanic who passes himself off as the real deal. He works to gain the confidence of his new clients by telling them about how he is going to have a shop soon, and just needs to get some business under his belt etc.

As far as cars changing hands or new owners it's hard to tell. We get about 3 new users on the local forum a week who are owners. I try to email those owners personally and welcome them to the club, if I had to guess 1 of every 3 that joins is a new owner.

I don't even think he has a shop anymore... someone emailed me a couple of months ago and said that the shop he used to work out of doesn't appear to be active anymore.

Sounds like he took a reputable shop's name and tried to capitalize on their good name while at the same time trying to one-up them by adding 'Plus.'
