T-78 vs T04r Which turbo is better

I don't have first hand experience witha t78 but my last car was t04r .84 a/r running 424 rwhp at 16psi. From what I have seen the bullet nut on the compressor whell are known to cause a few problems though.

Here's what I know, I have a PT67 .81 P trim with an HKS cast manifold 2mm stock seals, and a small street port. I just dyno'd 450rwhp/332 ftlbs @20 psi, and 506rwhp/387ftlbs of torque@25psi. So, since a PT67 is the same wheel sizes as a TO4R, my vote is for the PT67 Carl

I love my t78 setup. I definately agree that the lag is wayyyy over rated. I just talked to someone yesterday that switched form t78 to to4r after he blew his t78 and he regrets it. I cant imagine it would be that different though. Good luck.

I got a TO4R 1.00 A/R P-trim at PFS getting a tune and dyno. I'll let you know how it goes. I asked for best tune at 15psi.

that t78 spooling is about 3500K for full boost. but i love it. it fast as hell even @ 12 lbs
