Didn't take it as a shot, I just thought it was the housing not the entire kit.

Hey Rich, just a quick question: Will your current fuel pump be suitable for 550 rwhp? I'm looking into an upgrade and don't want to run duel pumps. Any helps appreciated. Thanks!

The Apexi GTR pump is good for (280l/hr=max) 270l/hr (71.3gal/hr) @ 15lbs and 12.9v.
I lost my fuel calculator link. I beleive you would need 850/1600's (about 500rwhp). I know it will outflow my 850/1300's (about 450rwhp).

Rich,
your 4" full exhaust is a great choice for a single turbo rotary engine! Let it breath :0

I definately agree! It's funny though, I had 2 HKS racing titanium exaust that I tried for a while to sell on this forum. Just about everyone backed away...it's too big, going to be too loud...Now some of you guys are on Rich's nuts about the same size exaust! Maybe it was'nt the exaust, maybe it was me some of you had a problem with.......?

People are dumb, what are you doing to do.

Anyway Rich the Blitz FMIC would be a good choice if you decide to go with a FMIC. I currently have one; really short IC piping, very thick, and doesn't block the radiator entirely. Also, I'm going to PM you regarding your GZ LIM I've got some ideas I'm playing with in my head that I want to discuss.

Well, I revisited Max Cooper's fuel calculator ( http://www.maxcooper.com/rx7/how-to/...tem/calcs.html ) and I now have enough injector for 560 rwhp at 85% IDC, but the pump is only good to 75 psi pump px, which is approx 20 psi boost px (40 base+15 px drop+20 boost px=75). It'll meet my flow requirements (66 gph), but it appears to be limited based on the 75 psi ceiling.

Here's a quote from Max's page about the BNR32 pump:

"I was really happy when I saw this. This is "one hell of a pump", as RC's Russ Collins put it. You will notice that the graph stops at 75 psi. The reason for this is that the pump has an internal pressure regulator that limits pressure to 75 psi. If you go over this pressure, flow drops off very quickly. Don't use this pump if you plan to run more than 75 psi of fuel pressure."

Yes Maurice, it's your screenname. We all hate azn's .

If I had been planning on keeping the BNRs I was considering your exhaust b/c it was bolt-up to the 3 inch dp. I would have probably had a resonator welded in.

I went with this custom setup for a few reasons, including the flex sections (not pictured) and the big-*** clamps that are claimed to make exhaust leaks non-existent.

Now that I am really thinking about it, there is probably room underneath for a pair of those mufflers/tips side-by-side for the catback section. Hmmm.

You'll be fine. If I haven't had a problem with only having the GT spec can welded on you should be fine. :P Now get that stuff installed.

Oh and buy my IC

I was'nt talking about you Rich. When we talked about the exaust you voiced your concerns on problems you may have if you got it plus, you were'nt 100% sure about going single. I personally don't care about using this exaust 'cause I won't be driving the car everyday and, it is not going to be registered in Jersey.

Thanks man. I'll keep my eyes peeled for the pods, but the 3 and 4 pods are hard to come by....

I hope you're right, you're responsible for my choosing that monster exhaust, hehe .

The GZ LIM, monster fuel system, manifold and turbo are installed. The wg, dp, and rest of exhaust should be installed today. I've been sick with the flu, so my car is in the capable hands of Ihor, who is doing a bang-up job installing everything.

Re: the ic, I found a new blitz fmic and after some research decided to order it along with a koyo n-flow triple pass radiator. No V Mount for me.

Some people assume street cars should have the wastegate dumping to atmosphere. Hey, less fabrication and it's easier to install that way right ?

Update:

thanks to the skills of Mr. Ihor Huk, the 500r kit and exhaust are now on the car, along with the GZ LIM and the KG ultimate fuel system. I'm waiting on the Blitz FMIC, Koyo N Flow triple pass radiator, and a startup map to fire her up
