Chuck doesn't offer the V mount anymore, evidently he is moving back to asia very shortly and has no time to make any more kits up.

I looked into the blitz, and liked it b/c it sits further back then the greddy---easier install, better rad cooling, less change of FOD damage.

Alberto, based on the drag videos I've seen Scott's FD is fast as ****. I havent even met the guy in person yet, I need to get that done before we go tearing after each other down the highway, lol.

The HKS v-mount is vsery nice. It wouldn't have cost me moch more for that then going to the wrong place and exteremly over paying for custom piping done badly. MJB (Matt) has an install thread that may be findable with a search. I beleive he sold his FD last year after gtting married.

Some pics I took today of the exhaust installed. Somehow I completely forgot to take any engine bay shots, so this will have to wait until next time

A shot out in front of Ihor's place. One motor job in progress, one motor job waiting, an fb in need of a lot of work, and my FD.

Rich keep you tip long. I did the same thing. My tip is made from cutting the straight part of a semi-truck smoke stack exhaust pipe off and welding it to my muffler. It is 4" as well as the rest of my exhaust. If you cut the exhaust tip to make it any shorter then I hope you like carbroiled bumper. Here are some pics of mine for comparison.

That's a beautiful job on the exhaust. Are you going to have custom under braces made since the stock ones won't fit anymore? I couldn't even get them to fit with 3.25" Border Racing Exhaust. Avoid speed bumps with that huge can. I like the star wheels better then the spokes, very clean and simple.

btw: they did a way better job with your dump tube then mine. Mine is under the down pipe and scrapes everything.

Got your email, thanks Sean. It looks like with further manipulation of the exhaust I'll be able to bring the tip in a bit, and may be able to fit my diff brace, or at the least a stock crossbrace.

With my 3.5" and the stock cross brace it does'nt rub. Unless, I'm side stepping the clutch at the strip. Then it'll tap a little bit...but nothing major. CJ

Putting aesthetics aside, I noticed a big drop in interior volume after I extended the tailpipe tip 1-2" so it was even with the outer most edge of the rear bumper.

i would think of going with the HKS v-mount..i would think it's a better option. better cooling and since from what i hear you like to push your car hard..with the v-mount you can push your car harder for longer than with a FMIC IMO

I never really considered the hks v mount actually. I don't see anything about it on their website, and knowing how HK$ usually is, I'd probably be looking at spending $3k or so, lol. Do you have any informational links?

With my 4" exhaust bolted up, I am still able to use the Diff. Brace on my car.
