Unhappy Not boosting correctly?? Help please!!

quick insight, I have the XS T04E and all the mods for single turbo and only had it for 6 months, it was only boosting at 6-7 psi, which I thought it was boosting off the wg spring which was just fine. Just have to wait for a BC. Added a profec B. And still boosting not over 7 psi

So thought it was the wg. Had that checked out and it's working. Had my intake system pressurized to make sure of no leaks anywhere. Found a leak here and there and it's fixed. But still not boosting pass 7psi.
Even had the wg manually bolted closed with a longer bolt. Mechanic told me that, this will at least boost it to a point where my motor will blow. But no luck. Still not boosting.

is this a sign of a bad turbo? any help out there from you single turbo guru, will be highly appreciated

Remove the filter and watch the turbo at idle. Its should spin freely. Also, are you sure you have no boost leaks? With the wastegate closed the turbo should spin vrery fast.

check to make sure all the gaskets are tight and in correctly. Afterwards, check to see if all the intercooler hoses are connected and that there are no vacuum leaks either.

yeah that's mine, I think it's the PFS smic that might be clogged.

POS car is stressing me out, I just hope it's not the turbo. If it's the IC then this is a good excuse to get a new FMIC. I'll keep my fingers cross!!!

did you buy the turbo kit brand new? If so, then that turbo shouldn't wear out so quickly. They usually last quite long

yeah got it brand new, so I'm hoping it's just something else. Something else that's not to costly.

check the settings on the back of the profec
there are 2 settings, one for internal wg's and one for external.. i dont know what difference it would make but

should have up down up down
or the reverse order

play around.

also

make sure you have a boost source going to the side of the wastegate. this will open the wastegate when the boost pressure equals the spring pressure. pressurize that a little and make sure there are no leaks. under the right amount of pressure the wastegate should open.

your boost controller solenoid should be going to the top of the wastegate, this will keep the wastegate shut.

make sure that it doesnt leak and that you can pressurize it up to at least like 30psi

if this is all setup correctly, you may have a defective solenoid or your boost controller isnt hooked up properly

hope this helps

p.s. i run xs to4s with the hks racing wastegate and a profec-b =]

Ok, Ivan found out what was the cause of my strange boost problem. It was the sorry *** american made resonated midpipe I had install from the nearest muffler shop, that was willing to take off my cat and make me a mp while I wait.
Somehow from all the heat of the rotory engine, the internal of the pos mp has melted and collapse together, restricting exhaust flow. Which was preventing my turbo to spool up all the way.

Just by looking underneath the car, no one could of ever thought that the mp was clogged.

I give props to Ivan, who took most of the time out of his vacation, to work on my car.

he told me that he put a bolt through the midpipe and that it didn't even come out the other end...
