No Eric, my best et so far is a 10.04@144mph. After that is when I started breaking drivetrain parts. I have fixed now and after the new motor, I'll just need some seat time.

So, you've got the same Best ET as me ? That's awesome.

I've been through it man, I believe it would have took an act of god himself to let me run a 9 second pass. If it wasn't one problem, it was another with me.

You the man.

Ernie, not that its important but... did you keep track on how many miles you actually put on the motor?

LOL. I figured Ray was going to do something to that affect. I think he is tired of working on your CYM. Or at least he's tired of seeing you go through his motors and not hitting that 9 sec. slip.

I think the important thing is the dyno runs and passes down the strip. Who cares about miles when you are going 1/4 mile at a time? lol

My motor hasn't been out of my car for almost a year. Not sure why you thought he always worked on it. I just recently switched ecu's but thats it.

who cares if he did help out alot, its good to have a good mech and tuner by your side. I give alot of Credit to Ernie for pushing the envelope and showing what a "street" 13B can do.. A few years ago mid to high 600 rwhp is what was the max being pushed out a street 13B. this is a "New" territory that Ernie is embarqing on
very very very few of you would even attempt to push what he is pushing

Oh people attempt all right... they just don't make it very far...

I'm give it an attempt.... just for the numbers, but I plan to keep my beast around 600hp... which is plenty for a 9 second pass.... but than again... who am I? =P

He might be trying to make the most power, but he's obviously not trying to go faster

Who says we're all retired ?

Lee hmm theres no Dyno sheet provided
I'm kinda stuck on how V8Killa with ported motor and bunch of mods
with the same turbo and boost made so much less on the initial dyno results
2nd dyno 680 was with custom intake manifold spiking to 35 PSI
and then Lee with a stock motor and stock intake made so much more 35 PSI
on the same turbo.

Vike your car is more of a modified style rotary
that type is very hot right now...The street class type cars is another story

We can't run a Jerico or another cars diff in the street class
so the only way to compete is with pure TOP end power
and that takes alot of rwhp.

Well, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I can't vouch for it because i was not there.

I will make sure to get a dyno sheet when mine hits the rollers again real soon

shoot man, you've got to be insane to try and compete in the streetclass. Unless you've got the time and money to travel around, why ? There's no money in it.............. and you've got to have the bank account of Ernie T to afford it

He's nuts...........

I still think he needs to put a non mazda trans and rearend in his car, so he can actually enjoy the car...............

I'd do that and take it to the semi-local races and win big with the "stock style" suspension classes........ you can make good money that way

the street class is not a national race
it is regional. The championships are are awared via

east coast champ
west coast champ
mid champ

Its more about representing and having fun
does not matter if you actuall win.. I would only attend 3 east coast events
To make a good showing it takes 9.7-9.5 and you ccould actually win events with those times.. You have to be consistant. Gaby skern (Sporty)came into the NHRA
after Ari left and with 620rwhp he won the national rwhp championship (9.7-9.8 1/4)
the year he raced with a car that weight more then 2900 pounds with him in the car
and I was there at the scales next to him in moroso,, Now it is 2700 pounds and you can run a bigger turbo, water intercooler and a dog box

Is this regional thing, new ? How many races are involved with one regional race ?
