You can make it work really easy.

Get some u bolts and hang it from the cross bar on the front of the car. Use the A/N braided steel lines from Ebay. They are long enough to loop under the existing radiator and all the way to the back iron.

EDIT: a word of caution on braided steel lines. Where they make contact with anything wrap them with an old rubber radiator hose. The braided lines will cut stuff to shreds.

You know I'm looking at those oem lines on that oil cooler. If you mail me those lines I can remake them with any hose you give me.

I recently bought the $250 tool to make A/C lines and I am constantly looking for an excuse to use it. LOL

Thanks for taking the bait on the FMOC and SE Paul, we have't heard from you for awhile and were wondering if you're OK.

Good to hear you're doing fine and still feisty, see you guys at DGRR! Got pics of the cabin? And the SE? And the gf?

And thanks KC and James for the tips on the FMOC lines and mounting options, I'll use these when the time comes.

We'll see what condition the FMOC unit I got on ebay is in when it gets here, I'll clean it up and post pics.

I actually have one of those braided lines in good shape from an old school 12A (probably SA) that Martin gave me.

I don't know anything about these braided oil lines except they have a habit of leaking (not a problem with the BeeHive!).

So I'll have lots of questions.

Starting with: Are all braided oil lines and fittings created equal and are interchangeable?

Well maybe Audrey Hepurn would’ve been a better choice for a beehive comment but Patty had one too!!

Lines are all compatible and yet not. The length is the major determining factor. The FC lines are pretty long and incorporate a metal portion. The SA lines (because the oil cooler dangles) are shorter. I've never had the pleasure of messing with a GSL-SE oil cooler so I would assume they are the same length if not very similar to the FC lines.

As for the connecting threads the banjo in the rear is all the same FD and FC and FB and SA beehive or not. The front threading is the same but how the beehive line is routed is a mystery to me because I've never seen one. The strait fitting (that is in the worst possible location IMPO) in the front cover has a slip and compression style connection. That enables you to thread the bit into the front cover and still manipulate the hose.

yep the oil cooler lines r much longer on the gslse due to the cooler being mounted forward of the radiator. not sure if they're the same length as fc but definitely longer than those that hang below the rad.

I don’t know if any you guys know GSLSEFORME, Mike. He’s been going through some hard times lately medically speaking. He’s back in the hospital again and if any of you are God fearing praying types then I’d hope you might keep him in your prayers. He’s a tough guy and battling and can use all the help and support we can offer.

Nice sign Brett, whoever made that was a real artist:

https://www.rx7club.com/se-rx-7-foru...9/#post9363021

Here's all I could find on the artist, the photo was taken in 2009:

Here's the OGTA sign at the 2009 ZoomFest:

And then a couple years later at the 2011 Mitty:

Old guys with 12As club meeting-yu5vxfz.jpg

Hold on to that sign Brett, it's going to be worth some money someday.

And Cathy thanks you for the TJ Bullet Wheels you gave her for her YJ:

Old guys with 12As club meeting-9feuqce.jpg

I thank you as well, they are going to make those 31" x 10.5" Wrangler Tires I got her for her birthday look good on the Jeep!

Could you take a few close ups of those panels on your sign so folks can see the Graffiti Art it's accumulated over the years?

On another note, do any of you FD guys have this problem?

PS, the irons are from an SE, Mike gave them to me when he moved to the foothills last summer.

He got them out of a 13B he got from Chad or Paul, can't remember exactly, for a 4 port 13B he's building.

And so it goes.

Yeah, I am rocking the flamed bumper look ...

There is a jeep at my work with those same wheels. That guy is having drive shaft issues. Which brings me to this Ray if you do end up lifting the jeep make sure you take into account pinion angle and drive shaft length.

I wouldn't doubt that OGTA poster has some value. After all this thread has over 1 000 000 replies, and the total replies for all threads on RX7club only total 8 000 000. Making this thread by far the winner.

The irons if from my 84 se should be great. 86k on them, most of them mine from 87-92. I’d be a little surprised if it is mine. That engine ran well, didn’t see a real need to tear it apart.

We need closer up pics of the poster panels Brett so we can read all the autographs and comments in the panels.

Put the close up lens on.

Paul I think you're right about the SE irons, as I recall these came out of an engine with toasted rotor housings.

The irons ain't bad however.

We are hoping your 13B rotor housings will be better!

Cathy got the 31 x 10.5 treads mounted on Brett's TJ Bullet Wheels, looking good!:

It was running fine just a few weeks ago Michael, then she decided she wanted bigger wheels and a lift.

Women.

"Have you told Cathy about your plans to sell it once its all fixed up?"

I tried that once before Tim, a few years ago.

The Jeep was dirty, unused, leaking hydraulics, needing a tune up and we needed cash.

So I talked Cathy into selling it, she agreed and I spent a few weeks spiffing her up.

I cleaned and serviced the 4.0 L, reconditioned the fuel injectors, adjusted the valves and painted the valve cover Jeep Red:

I did some suspension work and added an alignment:

Old guys with 12As club meeting-qmbm03z.jpg

I reconditioned the transfer case:

Old guys with 12As club meeting-zpprg37.jpg

I prettied up the interior:

Old guys with 12As club meeting-girnbvn.jpg

We updated the decals:

Old guys with 12As club meeting-uxzfbhr.jpg

And I bought a For Sale sign:

Old guys with 12As club meeting-nzwnzio.jpg

After which she decided she didn't want to sell it.

Maybe Trump is right, women shouldn't be allowed to participate in business transactions.
