if you run the stock 20b then the ecu is fine. if you mod the motor or change the turbo system as long as you run the stock boost level then you should be ok.

well it came with the stock manifold turbo, set up and everything but since im installing the greddy intercooler and all i dont know if it would make a difference as well as something like a venom high flow fuel pump...with those changes will it be relativly the same a stock with the ecu controlling them or not?its kinda this but thats confusing me ive never tuned the ecu or had to deal with the computer for most bolt on parts for my friends cars and such...so if it would just run stock that be nice for break in and driving it home :P

Not that hard to drop one in. Now for the intercooler on a stock set up it wouldnt hurt the factory system because its better than the stock intercooler so the air charge is cooler than normal. For the upgraded fuel pump is no big deal eather because as long as you run the stock fuel pressure the ecu is going to run normal the tuning will be require if you run more boost on the motor than what the ecu was setup to run. So for your awnser you can run the stock ecu with the upgraded intercooler and fuel pump.

Theres not really any shops Id trust to even change the oil, let alone rebuild the engine. Theres a handful of guys here who build engines though, myself included. What year is the car?
