so yesterday we went for a drive after the meet. a couple of us went down to hutchinson island cuz ive ever been there, and the SCCA has a little road track set up there. we drove around it once and its fun as hell! so i went back today and the SCCA was there. the do racing on the 3rd sunday of the month, in case everyone is interested. watched a couple of races then had other plans and had to leave.
just think its something to look into for future meets, since we do 3rd sat, maybe do a 3rd sunday aswell to go down and check it out.
anyone interested? just something to do. Laters Ian

New Sightings
There is a Montego Blue "7" parked on post at your work place Francisco. I think I have seen it before and it belongs to some officer that lives somewhere in Georgetown. I was on my way home for lunch and saw another 3rd Gen. A Royal Blue with a White Unpainted body kit going across Middle ground on Abercorn headed towards I-95. What's going on in Savannah???? They are popping up like wild flowers; they must have heard you were coming down. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Rotary Freak
Hi Savannah Rotorheads,
Anyone interested in getting together at Roebling Road on July 2nd at the SCCA race? My boss, Jim Downing, will be racing a 2-rotor C-sport there. They will be racing on Monday too, but I don't have Monday off.
Let me know, I will get more details about the race. Also I have never been to Roebling Road. I would like to see this car race. I hear it at the shop, and it sounds awesome. Also, Jim has taken 1st and 2nd places in his class so far this season with this car.

My First Trophy of the Year!!!
Savannah guys I want you to note that I had to receive this trophy in NC. If we wouldn't have been messing around with the Hooters chicks I could have had one from GA . They had a local show a Piedmont Dragway towards Greensboro NC and I was there and just decided to get in after driving from GA. My cousin helped me clean the MILLION bugs off from doing 95 on 95 and parked it with the rest of the cars.

I will wave to ya .. we should pass each other on I-16. heh
After 2004 the 4-rotor Kudzu was pretty much only raced in vintage races. Then Jim sold it. I miss it. After the 792P left the shop after the Walter Mitty, that was the last of the 4 rotors in the shop. I miss hearing them fire up.
Maybe Mazda will bring them back next year, since Mazda will be sponsoring the Walter Mitty again for the next 2 years.
