Okay, thanks I'll check it out. Assuming it's not too late to ask off, I can take as much time off as I need, I'll have like 5 weeks of vacation to take this year.

 

There's another Mazda Drivers event in June and this time you get to drive the grand course at VIR (4.5 miles). I would sign-up early, I'm sure it's going to be a sold out event.

Argh, I am scheduled to work the Friday and Saturday of Deals Gap... I managed to get off Friday and Sunday, but I have to convince someone to work for me Saturday, which may be hard, if not impossible. But, I'm going to do my best, even if I have to bribe someone. I should know for sure within a few more days.

Everyone must be busy trying to get ready for the gap I know I am. Its gonna be close, but I can't wait

 

I have some brake issues to work on this weekend. But me and the wife are excited to be leaving Thursday. 6 days and counting!

 

Everyone needs to go over Bert's checklist this weekend and I put a list on the RRDI site of stuff each group leaving might want to make sure they have between them somehow for the trip up there.

 

UPDATE: Melba Toast is alive, it's ALIVE!!! BWAHAHAHA!!!! I'm still not getting full boost and my idle still won't adjust below about 1400rpm (following the proper way to do it), but it's running so I shall see you all at Deal's Gap. One other problem...Barb has to work Friday so we won't be leaving til Friday night around 6pm. Is there an address to the mansion or wherever you all will be so I can mapquest it? Thanks.

I've been checking the weather a dozen times a day. Worse case for up there is that the weather can change from one curve to the next so to speak since you're in the mountains. If it does rain at all it will be a brief shower and we'll dry the road off in the first pass each way with a hundred cars so driving won't be a problem. Might make the get together at the dam a little sucky if it happens then otherwise we'll be fine. As long as we don't have a major storm blow in and sit for the weekend it should all be fine. Oh yeah, it was a blast. I think everyone is home by now sleeping it off, or calculating what upgrades they need on the car(s) run better at the next Gap run. I'm shopping for new shocks now Although my main limitation was the driver, I don't think I actually got close to the Miata's limits there.
