Anyone live in Cary/Garner who wants to have a female roommate (who CAN behave themselves, cuz David will kill them)?? Oh... and I don't have any money... cuz gas has TAKEN it all!!

...and cuz I can't afford to drive from North Raleigh, to Wake Tech, to Wake Med in Cary, back to North Raleigh again!!! I do that several times a week... the rest I go from North Raleigh, to Wake Tech (the OTHER end of the county, mind you...) and back home again... after stopping halfway at Advance Auto to work... but it's on the way, so no biggie.

...I need a hybrid rotary.

I may just pretend the 7 is broken, and start taking the bus!

...well, not yet... but it may come to that!

They've gotta raise $$ to help the Katrina refugees now... so I'll bet they'll start charging more for gas for that BS too... AND our stupid state just got the lottery, so there goes MORE of our money for the funding for that crap.

ugh.

I need a third job.

Oh... guys, go here before you need to fill up:

http://raleighgasprices.com/

That's how I found out about where to go to get the "REALLY cheap" 93 octane.

ok guys ive done a little math to help my cope with the gas prices. originally i paid 2.75 a gallon for 93, now im going to be paying 3.00 (at least) and i get roughly 20mpg when crusing. so i was using about $.14 of gas a mile now im only using $.15 a mile to drive to home. and if the gas becomes more then $4.00 a gallon i'll only be paying $.20 a mile so now i can think i just wasted another two dimes, instead of $4. and then i can also charge my buddies for gas

What upsets me more than having a lottery is the way the politicos did it. Instead of an open vote in the normal legislative session they had to schedule a "special" session the following week knowing that all our representatives wouldn't be able to make it back because of personal or business commitments.

It was a tie vote 24-24 and the Lt.Gov Bev Purdue cast the deciding vote. So much for women in politics improving the integrity of the process! An honest person in that position, on such a controversial issue, with a tie vote and not all legislators present, especially those in opposition to the lottery, would've declined to vote and moved for an extension to give all state senators an opportunity to return to Raleigh or call in their vote. The measure would've failed with an honest and representative vote. The one thing the reps in Raleigh and the Easley administration don't need is more money to spend and the chance for more corruption in state gov't.

But the good thing is that the Lottery is voluntary, you don't have to participate. Also find out how your representatives voted and support them or work to elect someone new to the seat if you disagree with how they voted or if they participated in this perversion of the legislative process.

JOSH! I got the part I need...the only problem stands as this...I need a wideband O2 sensor and help to tune it...but ONLY IF I CAN STILL USE MY S1 INJECTORS! I can't afford to install the map clamp if I hafta run 93 octane through S2 injectors ALL the time So if I find out I can still swap injectors...it's ON like Donkey Kong!!!

I LOVE MY CAR!

First of all, I was browsing ebay earlier this week, and read some of the old 80's ads for the FC, and got all giddy...

Then, today, while I was at school (well, now it's technically Friday, but anyway...), my dash clock started working!! I almost cried!! She must have known it was my birthday. Teehee. ...the dash clock worked for like 20-30 minutes... after the dash had baked in the hot sun all morning, I guess.

Anyway, that's why I LOVE my car. *dances happy I-love-my-FC dance*

I got backed into last Monday, and I'm heading up to Tyree's (near batting cages, in between Raleigh and Wake Forest) to get an estimate, I'll let you know how they seem. And if they do the job, I'll let you know how well...

BTW, I just got the insurance check in today, $868. I think that should be enough to fix her.

For you fender bender guys, ask for Rick Null at Capital Collision (231-7270) here in Raleigh. I've know him for 25 years, he's a very close friend and I have had him do work for me in the past and was very satisfied so I know he would do his best for you guys.

I think Greg is just pretending to be a "dirty man." There's no such thing if you have an RX-7. That suddenly makes you good and WAY too nice to try to be bad! Teehee

Anyone in town this weekend? Let's do something!!

I was thinking about going to the lake a couple of times... anyone else wanna go? I doubt the boats will be out since the gas is so expensive... David and I are taking Mary's (the lady with the farm) kayaks out probably tomorrow. I can't wait. Sunburn and freckles, here I come!!

Is he the guys that redid your vert's seats and top? Greg have you noticed that its aways someone else running into the 7s, like someone backed into me, not I rearended someone, or that guy sideswipped me, or I got rearended by that parked car as I attempted to paralell park. or now that school is back in session, Your Honor, that school bus backed over my car while it was stopped to pick up those children. :0)

Yep, except it was the guys house across the street. Great way to meet the neighbors. He does great work and stands behind it. Going to have him do some other work on the T2 if I get a certain part I'm looking at.

David, if I can get my 7 to run on wishes and dreams then it is on. I don't think anyone will be seeing much of the 7 with 93 octane at ~$3.50 a gallon, and only getting ~10 MPG. I will have to save up all month just to take her out on a Saturday

Seems like everyone is doing well. belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY Christina.

Johny, is the ol' girl back together?

This is David on Stina's account(muahahahahah) Everyone seems to have problems with the fender bender issues on RX-7 club lately...but be happy you don't have my fear of owning an SRT. Everyday I open the SRT forums I see someone else's car has been either vandalized(in an attempt to steal it) or rolled/totalled it on the freeway off ramp because of oil slicks or rocks...or just being stupid on rainy days(duh?).

Also...Stina wants to know if anyone wants to hang out at the lake tomorrow...I'm down! Hope to see you all there. Call her cell or pm if interested

Pictures of Last RRDI and Dan's New 7 T2

Finally got on line and all is working well now. Here are the Pics from the last RRDI:

Here is the newest FC T2 to add to our pride of FC:

Here is a closer shot of car and owner, it is a beautiful dark gray and in great condition:

As mentioned earlier, we had a record RX8 turnout, 6 total and here is one I call Sunset Blue:

Here is a beautiful Red 8 and it has been awhile since a red'un showed up in Rawley:

Ray was able to make it out with his RX7, great paint and a strong drive train again thanks to Steve:

a couple more to come . . . .

I did get a shot of the only FD that made it out last Saturday, I call this one FD admirers:

and to close it out, know what Santa does between toy runs? He dies his hair, trims his beard, and hopes in his red, of course, and goes cruisin' for chicks and checks up on rotorheads to make sure they're being good and tending to business. Seems like he was happy with our efforts:

Remember 247, the next RRDI will be next Saturday, 9/10.
