...altho those 2 are just pure sex... even the one with the "damage!"

By the way, my daddy fixed my car for me while I was at work tonight... I had no idea til I got home and saw her moved back in her parking space... I was so excited. I went out to drive her for a test spin... since I haven't driven her in 2 freakin weeks!! So I will see y'all at the meet on Saturday. Yay!

 

Well the engine and tranny are in also a lot of other parts, I hope to work on her Sat and I hope to run it Sunday. I may be in on the fender roller too, as long as it won't damage my new paint.

i think with newer paint it should be less likely to chip since it will still have some elasticity.

so what do we have a 4 way split on a fender roller? They run ~$300 from Eastwood. So, that would be about $80 a piece, including shipping, if we get four people. Hell for that kind of money we might consider keeping it, for the group. Then again if we sold it for $250-260, it would only cost us about $15 each to roll our fenders. Not too shabby.

 

johny, glad to hear that your car is coming back together. A couple of finishing touches and mine should be roadworthy. only gives me a week before TOTD, but I am going to try and log as many miles as possible before Friday. Good Luck with the rest of the assembly!

Tail of the Dragon at Deal's Gap. There is a sticky thread about it at the top of the SE Forum.

 

Good question, like I said I'm game for it unless a monsoon rolls thru. TOTD stands for Tail of the Dragon, 318 turns in 11 miles at Deals Gap, see the thread about it. We're leaving next Friday at 10am, short notice but if you can make arrangements for it join the caravan there.

 

I think we need a drive-in this weekend to firm up plans for the trip out to Deals Gap. Unfortunately I'm in Clarksville, Tn this weekend but get to scout out the route thru Asheville and where we leave I-40 to go southwest to Robbinsville. It was about 271 miles to the 23/74 exit for Waynesville and Clyde, NC and then it looks like about an 80 mile drive to Fontana Village. That's 4.5 hours to Asheville and another 1.5 hours or so to Robbinsville. A solid 6 hours, plus a lunch stop and one gas stop. It looks like Hickory will be a good spot if everyone starts with a full gas tank from Raleigh. I'll bring NC DOT maps for everyone and we still need a list of cell phone numbers.

The first Rest Area west of Durham is just past Burlington, like TO said. Anyone that doesn't need to back track to Raleigh and wants to caravan with us can meet us there. We'll roll in there about 30 minutes after leaving Raleigh. We need to leave Raleigh no later than 10:00 AM, sooner would be better. To make it to Robbinsville for the dinner at 6:00PM.

The GRR shirts will be ready and remember to bring $3.00 to pay the remaining balance on S, M, L shirts and $5 for shirts ordered for XL or XXL.

I'll bring the best of the "You know your a Rotorhead . . . " jokes and Greg will bring a guitar to serenade us. I'm sure there are a lot of other things that need to be discussed and decided on so go to the Raleigh to Deals Gap Caravan thread and ask away. This will also be posted there.

Hmmm.... Well I am looking for an FC, so if I pay for most of this 2500 I will take the good conditioned one and the rest of you can take the other one as a parts car.... But I gotta check with the 'rents first..... (they bought my current car and it is up to them to sell it)

 

Any of y'all FC guys have a Turbo-II transmission, low mileage, and good condition? Looking for a friend of mine instead of him rebuilding his...

yeah these little things may become a hot commodity (sp?) soon, me and my bud may buy em both so we have a summer project. but that would also eliminate our florida trip and ive already had 2 FCs so having another may not be..to..bad

Seriously folks, we need to get stuff finalized asap for this puppy so Bert can get up there and have that hot tub party....No really, it would be great if you're going to let me know so we'll know how many flatbeds/tow trucks we'll need or if we should just get a car carrier to follow us... Ok, enuff fun, read the post I put there and let me know, especially who is bringing beer, you're my new best friend.
