So this thread hit the year of my car

I dont think I'll be able to make it to the 16th's old school meet up guys- I've got community service from 8-4 on saturday and sunday... After 8 hours at a stupid horse farm I highly doubt I'll be in the mood to come, especially so late.

But theres many more meets to come!

Ouch! Isn't that up front? I've got a pair of struts and rotors if you need them.

Did you have a blowout that ended up snapping your rotor at the hub? Craziness. The good news is that the fix is cheap and easy, and don't worry - they don't normally do that.

That's right. And your rotor ends up looking like a D.

but heres the story i was putting tires from my gs on my sp coupe and my buddy darrin decided to help so we put them on and were off for some fun some time passes i check my bolts one is very loose so i tighten it guess what full striped i think damn ok fine on my way home bad wheel vibration pull over no bolt and to cracks i saw then and thought this is going to be fun 30mins. later 1st...... 2nd...WOT....3rd
the the most horriable vibration ever i had no control of the car it was very scary
this horrible vibration and i think my wheel was getting major wheel hop on the front tire doing 60......
60 that the fastest i went i get home feel and theres a big chunk missing i went back to the road and never found it

That doesn't strike me as a very safe way to get home. WOT on a hub with stripped lug bolts and two cracks. I'm glad it wasn't any worse, but you really should get your suspension straightened out, and soon.

So you HAVE put a new rotor on there, then? I've got a couple good lug bolts that I don't need anymore - no sense in using trashed threads in good rotors if you can avoid it. Let us know when you can make an OGTA meet and I'll get them to you.

Ray, Crit, Donnie, etc., etc., is there any plan for Saturday at Ft Yargo? I know it starts at 3. A nice carvan of 7s arriving all at once would get things off to a good start. All we need is a place to meet and a time.

Isn't there a Jeffery's in Winder, hmmm....

From speaking with Michael today, he needs a straight rear axle housing (probably easier just to swap the rear end). Does anyone in the OGTA radius have a 12A rear that needs a good home?

I confess I have an 84 LSD axle from the parts cars but with the white one clunking a little back there I might be needing it soon (Stu got the LSD rear end from the brown car, still sitting in his garage - hey Stu you want to sell that rear axle?)

Also I wonder if Mark still has his 7's sitting around, they would make great parts cars.

Also Michael, do you need stock GS or and LSD set up? Are there compatibility issues from one year to another and between manuals and automatics?

Mike we could meet at that cheese place. And I do believe there is a Jeffery's in Winder.

Yeah, you can shoot Wodihor a PM. He's got a car that needs work and just can't keep it up. Maybe you can talk him out of an axle, or hit www.pullapart.com.

I have an open small bearing diff if you end up finding a housing and axles. It's out of an RX-2, but it'll work just fine.

And Billy, what's up with the Ninja quote? You're gonna get me mugged.

OK, unless I am mis-reading something here...... WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING driving a car that needs some serious attention??????????????? Not only are you a danger to yourself and passenger, you could end up killing someone else when you car goes out of control???? Keep this car off the road until it is properly repaired.

And, I'm surprised that you guys are encouraging this guy to drive this car. I'm all for 7s to be driven, but please don't drive it, if it is unsafe on the road.

Holly
