Thanks man! I've actually been in touch with the owners of both of these seats. Believe it or not though, I'm partial to the aftermarket versions. I'm certainly keeping these, and another OEM set on the radar. Thanks again!

Yep I get that. Those might even be tougher to find. Worst case scenario is an old set then have them re-upholstered. Pricey way to go. You just had to buy a "money pit" RX7 didn't you?!? Ain't it great??!!

Love you guys .. Never even met ya!! I am literally stuck with only two vacations in my job. Week of July 4.. Now..and Xmas to New Years.. Both plant shut downs. And, im running out of PTO time. Unless it's a Saturday Im kind of hard to move. Savannah to Atlanta is 4+ hours for me. Tuesday's are quite impossible. First lucky guy or gal to have one on a Saturday.. I'm there!! I even have a nephew living in Marietta nearby that I can stay and bring along with me. You'll love him. He is one of the good guys without an RX7.

Seeing as how B's rule. Anybody ever heard any good or bad about an S4 intake conversion from a stock 85 dynamic chamber (EGI)? Not that id do it but I've read a thread that says it adds 30% more air intake with a stock ECU. Supposedly a simple conversion along with an additional walbro or similar fuel pump and fuel regulator. Thinking more hp w/o serious derivations from stock. Just thinking about it. Comments welcome.

I'm moving to the new house and need to find a new home for a few things. If anyone wants a set of GSL-SE wheels, I'll let them go for $50. If anyone wants engine internals, I've got lots of GSL-SE stuff, twin-dizzy 12As and lots of transmissions - 13 of 'em from among various old schoolers.

i saw their design changes over the years and i always thought it was good to see someone thinking outside the box with the engine design.

mazda has always had a very closed mind about their development of the engine, never swaying from the initial concept and function.

now if they could make the whole thing out of ceramic, it'd be revolutionary.

Traditionally Japs have been pretty good copiers and pretty damn good at taking somebody else's unfinished invention and finishing it. Now, in the machine tool world I live in, the Taiwanese have become pretty damn good at copying and produce pretty damn good machine tools for half the price. Now the Chinese are playing catch-up. I've found that American, German and British have been great at invention, creativity and innovation. But alas the world is catching up on this "new world order" we seem to be chasing. I agree, outside the box could be ceramic.. But for all we know there's already an even better co-polymer, metal molecular, aluminzed, titanium, atamantium that NASA or Formula one is using that we don't get to see for 10-15 years. Don't think I'll be around to see it but sure is fun waiting!!

Sorry to get slightly philosophical on the thread. Just saying the that ceramic is king but for all we know "they're" way ahead of us whoever "they are". The Japs did a good thing winning Lemas back on 91. Long time ago. I think the inability to make "cafe standards" with a wankel is a tall order. Just can't make the world like an inherently dirty engine. I personally don't care about gas mileage and cleaner burns. I like my dirty filthy "two stroke" se just fine.. Just sayin..

Back to the original conversation.. If some boys from New England USA can come up w a power supply that weighs 30 lbs vs 120 on site for our military boys on a back pack and is conceived of a rotary engine design, which it obviously is, than more power to them. In this day and age were gonna need all the help we can get. Thank you Ferdinand and thankyou Mazda for getting it the idea started.

Sending a call out to all the OGTA guys and selected other old schoolers. Dave Atkins will be in town tomorrow, Saturday, July 9th. We are loading up the rest of the old school parts at MAZMART and heading west. Mazmart will not be open to the general public, this is only for the selected people. Dave is asking for help loading the parts and said the pizzas on him. It's also the last best opportunity to get any of these parts. Additionally... Both Lisa and Dave Meditz will be there. Hours to show up at mazmart and help are 9AM to 2PM. Let mazmart know if you can make it.
