GSL-SE YA!!!

Its sitting at my parents house in Powder Springs.
Nice looking car Alex, that would be a pretty cool one to show up at an OGTA meeting in sometime.
I posted the pictures on the non-tech forum and somebody asked if the pool of liquid under the car was yours or was already there when you showed up.
Is the Red One having some bladder control problems?

Alex, I pm'ed you on the hatch.
I was thinking the same thing when I saw the puddle in the picture. But, I figured if it was leaking Alex would have known about it. I have been know to drive cars that leave little presents behind.

That reminds me of the time the drive shaft fell out of my '38 Chevy pick-up truck in front of a women's dormitory on the UMass campus in a No Parking zone back in '76.

It really happened Mike, it really did. I had to grab the tools, crawl under the truck and put it back together, a very embarrassing couple of hours.
But damn, I should never have sold that truck. Had a corvette small block in it with a hurst shifter and a ford rear end. Tim would have loved it. I sold it in '77 for $300, big mistake but I needed to pay the rent.
It was a twin for the one in the picture, but red with original paint, no serious rust. We didn't have digital pics back then and film was too expensive to waste on cars, so there aren't many shots of it. Here it is parked next to my '53 chevy pick-up at the farm in Ashfield. Dig those truck horns on top of the cab.

Not sure Colin, I was under the impression that it was new to Geraldo and he seemed pretty excited about it, so my guess is he ended up buying it.
Very pretty car! Everybody was drooling on it.
Here's Geraldo's plans for the future

They are great cars. Especially the "delux" models. Coups were especially my favorite, with the power rear quarter window. I had a couple back in college, and even put a 12a in one. It was my favorite car of all time and cant wait to own another one some day.

This sounds like you were trolling for women, Ray. I am guessing the rest of the story involves taking a coed home in the truck.
That white 626 was the bomb Colin, when you got up close to it, you could just feel it oozing karma.
Now that I know he just got it, I understand why Geraldo had that **** eating grin all evening.
Whooo-Hooo! Another masterpiece emerges from the Waits Garage:
Mike, when you're 125 lbs, have shoulder length hair, a wardrobe of one pair of jeans and five objectionable T-shirts and drive a truck that looks like it just emerged from the Great Depression, you don't have much of a problem with college coeds who live in dorms jumping in your car.
That only started happening when I got the FB back in '02.

Ray, I have a spare flywheel that I do not need, trouble is I dont have any idea what year or weight it is. How can I tell what year it is without removing form the engine? I guess I could remove it and weigh it. Are there markings?
Say hello to Mr.Wankel

This will help you identify it:
Flywheels
As you can see, there are variations of the outer edge between the years/series. They also have a different number cast onto them. With the engine on the motor you may be able to see the number with a mirror. The number you should see on the S2 is 21.

Thanks for the generous offer Robert, if by chance it's the 81-82 version I'll take it!
I've never seen one in person but here's what it looks like, a photo from the link that Donnie posted:
Its most distinguishing feature from the installed view is the width of that outer lip. It is wider on the earlier 79-80 12As and narrower on the later 83-85 12As.

Definitely a sweet ride. My first car was the 4 door 1979 Mazda 626 that my dad bought new when I was almost 2 months old. I rebuilt the four banger the summer I was 15. I wish I still had that thing. It just didn't seem that cool in the summer of 1994. I think I like the FB so much because of all the cross over parts and the fact that the doors closing sounds exactly the same.

Ray, no luck on the flywheel. The only mark I could find on it is a "3", so while I'm not sure what year it is i'm sure it isnt the one you need. Sorry.
