Fix it. The fuse should only power the compressor clutch and idle-up solenoid. If you have no idle-up, your debugging is even easier. Junkyards should have those by the dozen - no reason it should be unique the the RX-7.

Tim that Alice Cooper made me forget. About your AC, which seems to be grounding out and about to cause an engine fire we haven't seen since Dave and Stu's Ride in the Hills.

I had the same question a year or two ago about my AC, which was not living up to expectations.

What's worse? Fix the damn thing? Or a couple hot days in the 7? (And a few extra HP-sucking pounds in the rubbish?)

Same thing with my power steering unit, which was leaking.

Out they went, took those two little nonmalignant cancers right out of there. Haven't looked back since.

Yeah, no idle up. So I'd think it's either the clutch or the wiring. I gotta remember where to put the 12v to engage the clutch.

First gens and power steering? What? I didn't think they had that on the recirculating ball steering systems? (Or however you say it)

They do, and they can be power-boosted just like rack and pinion. How do you think the 18-wheelers all do it?

So I saw this black Series 3 the other day while dropping my friend off at school.

Name: Fbee.jpg
Views: 36
Size: 122.3 KB

To the owner of the Black FB I saw at Gwinette tech. I hope you got the card and are actually reading this. We meet the first Tuesday of every month up at Twisted Tavern in Suwanee right off exit 111 off of I-85. We meet around 6:30pm. So if you want to meet a bunch of fellow Rx-7 owners and enthusiasts come on out. The next one is August 3rd.

Nice find Chris, that looks like Dean's car but his is a series 2 so that must be someone new. Hope he or she makes it over to the August meet (and we'd love to see your new Miata).

Why does this woman remind me of Greg the Elder?:

Dave

Look for us at the pool when you get in. Unless they have kicked us out by then

Also, I sent my cell number in the email with all the other information.

I had no idea... I guess I've never seen the power steering pump under a hood of an FB, so I didn't think they came with that.

Don't worry ray, I have every intention of bringing the Yatta in August. I have a new job now and we close at 8:00. So even if I have work I'll just be late.

I was over at MazMart today also. I was there just before 1PM, when they close for lunch. I picked up Kevin's RX-8 coils for him.

If any of you need Redline products, MazMart carries it. I think someone was saying they had to order it vs. purchasing local.

Nice! Biggest delay I see as of now is that we have a divorce case we are waiting for the judge to make a decision on. We are on telephone "red alert" for that call. Then we can head down. See ya there!!

This is good to know. I was looking all over for some MT90 a couple of weeks ago. I ended up settling for some MTL.

I always used Redline in the Gray Ghost. I tried some Royal Purple in The Blue One, but on really hot days the 2nd gear synchros didn't want to work. I swithed to Redline MTL and the tranny is as smooth as butter. I am still running the Royal Purple in the diff and it seems to be fine.

Crit, if you are going to be putting the GoPro outside the car, I recommend a zip tie or some bits of string to anchor it in case the suction mount let's go. I've never had it happen, but if your paint finish isn't the smoothest, I've heard it's iffy.

Also, you need to decide what to do about the hole in the back of the waterproof housing. Left uncovered, it lets more 'sound' in to the mic, but if it's a particularly turbulent part of the cabin air-wise, I'd put a small piece of tape over the hole. If mounting outside the car, DEFINITELY put tape over the hole.. otherwise you won't have but garbled audio.
