"Maxine" is fixed.. Or so it seems. I loaned a cooling system pressure tester from Autozone and an adapter which I had to modify to make work (Sort of an oxymoron...) and quickly found my leak. It was a three inch line on the back of the UIM. Now, normally, you might be able to get at it.. Right? Wrong. -- I had to remove the throttle body, a shedload of emissions equipment, most of the wiring harness, etc to get the UIM off the motor and it was STILL a pain to get to this crappy little thing. Unfortunately, Autozone didn't have a molded hose close enough to my application, so Regina (Mah middle-aged homegurl) shoved some freebies in my jacket pocket and sent me on my way. I actually cut the line a little longer than what I needed to reduce the amount of kink I'd get, but it was of no use. With the UIM back on, there's a nice kink in the line probably rendering it completely useless. However I think it's only purpose (And I haven't verified this yet because the Nissan forums and Maxima forums aren't as well stocked as our dear 7club) is to keep part of the throttle body or something similar from freezing.

After I got it all back together, I took her for a nice drive up to Commerce..stopped at my store, went to wally-world... temp behaved perfectly, my heater works again, and I am loving my new sensible sedan. Good old girl!

Check this out: http://www.rotary13b1.com/p/1219/13-BEE---T-Shirt.html

I'd wear that all the time! Ray, you should talk to the guy and get a 12A one going

And, I'm back from Valdosta. I went down there Friday and hung out with some old friends for V-day. It was a nice, much needed mini vacation!

ok guys, a good friend of mine is finally opening his business and i thought i'd put a word out for him. he's having a huge sale at his place up by the mall of ga this coming saturday. i know it' kind of short notice, but i also know that most of you guys don't pan far ahead, so you should be able to show up and support a fellow rotary enthusiast who is starting his dream business. anyway, here's a "cut and paste" from his website, (RXZotic.com) talking about the sale on saturday, so i'll just let you read about it here. check out his site if you get a chance. he's still working on it and there's new stuff everyday.

Event details:

This new venture (RXZotic.com) is a home based business for myself with my wife helping me. As such, we are beginning out of our garage, which is where the event will be taking place.

At 7:30 we will be opening up for the early birds to meet, greet, and start buying.

Here are pictures of some of the parts we will be selling.

Special Sale

Better bring your wallet filled with all the money you can earn, save, beg, and borrow!

Why, you ask?

We will be selling a total of 30 12a & 13b plates, rotors, housings, e-shafts, etc... for a ridiculously low special sale price that will be announced on the morning of the sale. This is a first come first serve only sale.

In addition there will be 100's of other special hard to find engine parts available for purchase from rx2, rx3, rx7FB, rx7FC, & Repu.

I have an extra REPU core support that could be used to fix that.

Tada!

I swear, I've had 4 deals on a good white hood fall through... One day. A bumper and passenger fender would be nice, too, but a hood would make a huge difference.
