I used to live on ATL hwy across the street and down the road a little from dollar general, I had a red FB in the driveway, I just moved in october, BTW PA sucks, the snowiest Feb on record, 38.5 in since the 5th, 60in for the season, figures this would happen when I move up!

Alright, so you have an 88 GXL. I can check your compression, spark, fuel pressure, etc. with you and teach you how to do it. Has the car driven recently? Does it run? What do you know about possible problesm? When did you last change your plugs, fuel filter, etc?

Yeah its an 88 GXL with a 80k reman engine in it. The car runs and drives, but only operates at like 1/5 the power. Never changed anything in it, I havent owned it for too long. Possible problems could be, fuel pump, blown motor, injectors, plugs, wires, fuel filter and thats pretty much it. When I say the car runs, I mean it can barely make it up a hill from a stand still.

I really don't have any suggestions, I'll be safe and say it's not getting enough gas/ air. I haven't had too many problems with my FC to know what triggers what (knock on wood), maybe Collin can pop in and help, it seems like all of his FC's have done at least one thing to really **** him off and make him go over everything

I'd rather have 99 SA problems than 1 female problem.
I agree with Roland SK, upgrading that FC to an FB would be the best choice, but since you just bought it let's see if we can at least diagnose it and get it running before you trade it in.
I don't know much about fuel injection but you can probably tell alot by pulling the plugs and inspecting them. If a Nikki is misbehaving she will squirt gas everywhere but where you want it, which pretty much tells you what's wrong. Look for gas-soaked plugs or ones that look like they haven't fired in the last few weeks.
And while you've got the plugs out check the spark on each one by hooking it to the wire, grounding out the plug and turning the engine over. Should be nice even blue spark on all four.

Brett, you're confussing the zen like feeling of driving an FB with being messed up. I know it may seem a little strange at first, but the thrill you got driving the FB is how Kenichi Yamamoto intended it to be. It's like that first kiss. It's a little disconcerting at first, but it just gets better and better.
