How many do we have showing up tomorrow night? I think Rick Engman from MazMart is going to come out with his 12A this meet. He asked me to remind him when the meet date got closer. I told him I would buy his dinner, maybe the others can keep the beer flowing for him.

I'll buy a pitcher. Unfortunately, it may not be a good night to congregate outside and admire our rides.

Looks like we should be in the clear for tonight, once this last line of storms roll through.

Another great meeting, 5 FBs and an FC. Riks and Kara were there in their mint 85 GSL Turd with brown leather interior (yes the steering wheel is mint) to die for. Need I say more?

OK, I will. Holly brought her toys, some of which hadn't been taken out of the box yet. And now she has an FB, which qualifies her to continue as OGTA secretary.

Greg is getting used to unemployment (architect for cheap, see me) and Mike mentioned the Mountain Trip, which will be March 22 for all FBs that can make it up to the Carolina Mountains (a place called "Falling Waters" or "Gorgeous Groves" or someplace like that.

Kristen brought the Ranchero, does it get any better than that?

Here's a picture of Crit smoking a cigar with a bunch of rotarheads in a garage with the SE running:

They say there were some pictures taken of the cars, hope Brett paid his cell phone bill.

Check your email Ray. I sent the pics Kristy took, so you can upload them.

Rick and Kara may be able to make the Mountain run on the 22nd, if he doesn't have any races to go to.

Heh, I have an FB.... couple of FCs ... lots of FDs .. and some FEs (is that what an RX-8 is?

Holly

P.S. Hope you get back soon Crit

Well, I didn't expect to leave so early, and I only took a quick shot of the Ranchero. I'll post it up tomorrow once I find the cable for my phone. But yeah, I enjoyed the meet. I forgot her name, but the lady sitting next to Collin (who I stole her burger) was pretty cool for getting me my buck and a half back . And I'd love to attend the Mountain Meet with you guys if it's alright with ya'll. Someone with over 100HP might want to bring a chain in case one of our cars decides to give trouble .

And tomorrow, I'll hopefully work on my car and finish putting in the new differential. Then, I'll go ahead and send that money order for the FC model I bought (I was outbid on the Initial D one...). And I wont forget that picture either!

EDIT: And thanks for the cappichino/cappaccion thing Collin

Brett, you won't need a chain if your car gets stuck. Trust me. The mountains are so steep that you can coast down and the speed you pick up will carry you allllll the way back to Forsyth.

...Alright, so maybe that's a wee bit of an exaggeration, but you get my point. Your car will be fine. You may want to change your oil and flush your cooling system before we go though. I plan on flushing my cooling system for sure to make sure high revving won't be a heat issue.

The meet was good this time, but not a volume turn out. It was nice meeting Kara and Rick! And yes, I'll be sure to tell Jeremy that you said hey. Maybe I should drag him to the next meet...

Also, if someone reminds me a week or so before the meet, I want to try and borrow Jeremy's video camera this next meet so maybe I can record in video the whole line of RX-7's (And Kristin's Ranchero) having a headlight winking contest! I also wanted to bring it for the mountain meet with my Tripod setup in the trunk (Ghettofied!) so I can record my drive.

Brett, that's spelled C-A-P-P-U-C-C-I-N-O by the way...

This is Caffeinated Collin signing off!

The last of the rain passed through the Atlanta area late in the afternoon. It just had cooled down quite a bit.

I learned a long time ago, to never let a weather forecast prevent me from going to ANY ROTARY event. If your car has tires that are good in the rain (mine always did, except when it was new) ignore any weather forecast and just get my butt out to the meets. Now snow, that is a different story .. take chains, or you constantly do 180s. One of the reason I moved South.

The weather was actually pretty nice, the skies cleared before the meeting started and the stars were out on my ride home. Holly I haven't seen the email with the photos, could you resend to green_gr@mercer.edu?

The meeting was a good one, a nice mixture of new and old folks (Collin, Brett and Kristen are now old folks!)

Next meeting is Tuesday April 1, for those who missed this one.

Finally, some recognition Does our new 'rank' have any benefits?

And I knew you were a college prof. Ray, but I didn't know from Mercer. They've sent me a few brochure's lately...

Tim you know that there is great wisdom and at least a little bit of truth in everything I say and do. April 1 it is.

Donny that SA is looking good! (It's not photshopped, right?). Hope you can coax it down to the next OGTA meeting, or better, the Mountain Trip on the 22nd.

Brett, of course there are benefits. Here's the link:

Holly, still no photos for the March 4 meeting in my email. We need them for the archives Madam Secretary.

Ray, I just now re-sent the pics. I double checked the email address and it is the same address I sent them originally. Maybe your email has me in spam, especially with attached pics.
