Well, of course it would only be appropriate to pick that up and haul it around with a RePoo.

I think you are on to something Mike, the 12A spreader would look great hooked up to the Repoo:

Current bid's only $200. Whad'd'ya think Crit, you up for a little trip up to Ohio?

Sounds like Sam is out of the woods, that was scary. Those 4 wheelers ought to outlawed or taxed out of existence (along with cigarettes).

Here's something I didn't know. In Australia these are called 12A's:

hold on there ray. 4 wheelers aren't any more dangerous than any other off road vehicle, or any vehicle for that matter, when ridden/driven sensibly. i grew up riding dirt bikes and 4 wheelers, and even back in the day when there were 3 wheelers. those that get hurt r usually acting up on them or going entirely too fast. like all the parents that were getting their kids 4 wheelers and the kids were getting hurt on them, often times it was too big for the child to start with. with a kid, it's the parents responsibility to teach the child how to safely operate the vehicle, and to supervise to make sure the child understands the dangers. can't give a child that's never ridden something like that and say, "here, go have fun". i know sam's no kid, but even us adults do things and show off and get hurt. we've all done it. sam's a smart man and i'd never talk down about him, but i'm sure once he's all better, he'll probably admit he was doing something he shouldn't have that caused him to get hurt. same goes for those that think hand guns should be banned cause so many ppl getting shot. sorry for the rant but u never hear ppl talking about getting rid of cars and airplanes.

Well, I thought I'd get an argument about the cigarettes or using Crit's REPU to pick up the New Idea 12A manure spreader, or maybe about the Australian 12A's, but not about the dangers of 4 wheelers.

I've heard so many stories in the news and from friends about the heartache they've produced (Cathy's best friend's 12 year old was killed on one) that I guess I just don't fully appreciate their value. But I agree, 4 wheelers, like loaded guns, certainly present a learning moment for parents and their kids.

It's not the 4 wheelers that hurt people, it's the people riding them Always has been the case with anything we as humans do. I was crushed by one while living in Hawaii. the 4 wheeler didn't do anything but obey the laws of Physics. I put it in the position to punish me,... and it did. Badly.

I like the Aus 12A's Just like the engine, alot of fun in a small package!

And the manure hauler is the stuff dreams are made of

I just had the scariest car ride ever. I was driving home from a friends, and all of a sudden I hear this pop noise from under my hood. My motor was still at full power, and I was running good, except the retard lights all came on and stayed on. So I get home about 5 minutes later, and it turns out my alternator belt broke while I was driving, and must've hit my hood from the inside making the pop noise.

I'm betting that had something to do with my car not starting very well. Who knows.

Anywho, I gotta go get a new belt and install that tomorrow so I'll be good to go for the mountain run Sunday. Any other OGTA going?

Be careful, that same belt turns the water pump, your car will overheat with a retarded quickness if driven like that. Also, the warning lights means the alt isn't spinning while the car is on, it's why your lights come on when you put in the key and turn to on but do not crank. Also, when you put the key in and turn to on, the needle should go to 12.5 volts, if it doesn't, it means your battery is not fully charged.

The battery is always past 12.5 volts. It's around 16. And I know, I'm not driving the car again until I get the new belt installed.

Is the alternator the same from the 12A to the 13B? If so, I could just steal the one off the red car for now until I get the motor swap done...

Ok. Got the new belt this morning, but couldn't find my 14 socket to move the water pump out of the way to put the belt on, and it's cold. So I'm just tackle the interior of my car, clean it up a bit tomorrow, then put the belt on.

Yes, I've got an S4 one on my S3 FB. I think it puts out a few more amps, but I've had no problems. I've got a S5 on my S4, too

Sam I hope you are feeling better. Seeing this picture always makes me feel better!

Billy, you got a photo of those 20B's?

Quad, please note:

The Water Pump is connected to the Air Pump
And the Air Pump is connected to the
Alternator
And the Alternator is connected to the
Eccentric Shaft
And they all go spinning around
If you have a
New Belt

Nice Work Zach at the reg station:

"Here are my readings:

25/25 test
HC ppm Reading Allowed

25/50 Test Reading Allowed
HC ppm 24 180
NOx ppm 0.00 1.01"

You're doing your part to keep us all green.

The belt I broke goes alternator to the eccentric shaft. I need to move the water pump to loosen that belt to get it off to get to the alternator to eccentric belt. And I KNOW it's not my air pump, because it's sitting my trunk =)

No, you need to loosen the 14 that runs through the alternator and water pump boss. Loosen the 12 at the other end of the alternator. Lower the alternator to slacken the belt (or install yours). Water pump doesn't get touched.

Idiot lights are there for a reason, Kevin. When you thew your belt and the alternator stopped, so did the water pump. Hopefully you didn't warp your housings.

I only drove for about 5 minutes home after the belt popped. And it was wicked cold outside, and I hardly even registered on the thermostat, I think my housings are OK.

And I'm talking about the 14 that's on the driver side attached to the water pump. I gotta loosen that (like you said) to get that belt off in order to attach the one to the alternator right?

Looks like I gave your FSM back a couple days too early...

You're on the right track. Remember, though, that when the water pump stalls, the thermostat regulates nothing. None of the cooled antifreeze in your radiator gets to the engine. It simply cooks, unregulated. Have you tried to start the car yet today?
