Hey my cousin might have found an Rx7 he can afford. The guy says that it used to run fine but the carburetor is gummed up and needs a rebuild. He also says we shouldn't drive it on the current tires due to them being really old. So my question is, would anyone be willing to let us borrow a stock nikkia and 4 wheels w/ tires to drive 3+ hours and pick up a 7? Once we get it back here the tires can be replaced and the current car rebuilt, but we'll need a good carb and some wheels w/ tires you'd trust for a 3 hour drive to transport the car. It's a GSL so they'd have to be 4X110

Greg-the-Younger
I have a set of Remington (big name in tires!) 185x70x13 that were on my car when I got it. They are mounted on the FB alloy rims. They are getting to be 10 years old, or so, but all still are holding air. They have plenty of tread.
My Nikki is as I took it off 4 or 5 years ago; 220,000 miles, complete on the manifold. But the car ran fine when I took it off.
Let me know.
I will be out of town Monday and Tuesday.

Greg I might need to get the carb from you, we're thinking about picking this car up on Sunday using Crit's idea of using my wheels to transport it. We're also thinking my carb, although it will run rich for a 12A, should support the 12A to a point where it is running somewhat if I throw my leanest jets in the carb. But if we get Greg's carb, my cousin could maybe borrow it for a little while(few weeks) until he can afford a newer Webber or a Sterling or something.
What do my cousin and I need to block off an OMP while we run premix? (because if we use my carb, it won't have oil injection bungs, my 13B is using the SE oil injectors)
EDIT: looking at RB's site, I'll need their 12A lower manifold to mount my upper manifold, so I might need that Nikki sometime this week.

So today was slightly productive... I thought that guy was coming to get the 'vert so I decided to go ahead and pump up the tire on it, and that led to vaccuming out my car and then checking all the fluids and then polishing the FTP's and ****. He never came, but atleast it got me off my ***. Did I mention that that home depot job went down the toilet? They finally returned a call and said they couldn't fill their new hire's with hours, so I'm unemployed once again. Anyways, pictures!

Maybe, I'm driving up in your area Thursday night to pick up a Nikki from Greg (the younger) if you'd PM me your number I could call when I'm there and see if you'd be ok with me borrowing them. It would be easier to use stock wheels due to the stock tapered uni-lug style as apposed to having to use my wheel, studs, lugs, and lug washers.

Nice work Brett, I'll check with the awards committee to see if FC' are eligible for the Most Improved Trophy.
Chris if you are driving through Commerce you might want to stop and visit this guy:
