You've got no idea what it is to be a dying breed. At least you can find clapped out FCs in junkyards - the FB guys get next to nothing, and the SA's are harder still. Colin, you've hit on exactly the reason that the points are structured the way they are. They're supposed to reflect the amount of effort required on each owner's part to keep going to the meets.
But thanks for proving Ray's point

I went to look at the red FB today, its nice, worth what he wants,BUT the guy was working and I went and looked at it my self.. I popped the hood, no bad oil leakage, the oil looked good, like it had been changed somewhat recently, the car is very clean, BTW its a friend of Donnie, his SA was parked next to it. Im definately buying this car
Hey Hey Hey we put alot of work into ours....ex. Coliins and his might start today or might start next week fc.... except he kinda quit on that project BUT like you said they are in junkyards... not running=cant get to meet=dying breed and sometimes you really cant find what you need or you pay a ridiculous price for something like my FTP'S they cost around $25 a piece......for plastic lenses..... and dont say mazdatrix because you have to spend your kids college fund to afford something from there

We're just playing with ya, Colin. We've all got the same problems, just in varying degrees. And Collin's car ran fine before he pulled it apart for his non-swap - self-induced failures don't count toward a car being hard to maintain.
Ray really wants an FC, he just wont admit it. That's why he is always dissing them and only counting them as half an 12A
So I totally think I'm going to buy some 16x7 5 lug 300ZX wheels this weekend...

Ahem Colin and Brett, they didn't put carbs on 13Bs SEs and FCs. A sports car ain't a sports car without a carb.
One day, grasshoppers, you will learn the zen of the Nikki, find harmony with your accelerator and be lifted to the higher plane on which we 12A drivers explore the universe.
Obviously our Carolina brethren have independently discovered the celestial Venturi of happiness:

You could always make a bastard block of T2 irons, FC NA rotors, FC housings and FB engine bracket, use 12A irons and GSL-SE or RX-4/RX-5/REPU housings, or use an old school 13B from an RX-4, RX-5 or REPU and have yourself a well-done 4-port 13B that's very carb-friendly.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I am still meditating from Ray's zen post.
Wow, that woke me up. That is a lot of moving parts. Sounds way out of my league.

It's not a bunch of parts, it's just three ways to skin the same cat. Of course, there's always the GSL-SE block that's the simplest. Chris' runs great.

The car is nice. it just needs a little TLC and it could be a nice clean ride.
The next time you come by, let me know. I have a CRAZY busy schedule, but i always try to find time for rx7 related fun.

Put this in almost anything and you have 1.5 - 2 12As equivs easy.
Did you get the Red One Kevin?

Actually I draw the line at 20 years old Crit, you can miss out on some nice ones if you don't include those frisky 20-25 year olds.
But yeah, they quit making real sports cars back in the mid '80s, when they started adding weight, turbos to make up for the weight and luxury items to sap the turbos. The current "sports cars" seem more like luxury sports sedans to me, RX-8s and the like, with fewer and fewer exceptions, like the Lotus and Miata, still insisting that driving can be fun.
(Now someone clue Colin in that I'm razzing him about the FC's, OK?)

I found the hood ornament, on the crossroads thread, that we were talking about last night.
