Tim/Ray, what are you guys thinking? A strut bar that requires the removal of the alternator does not sound like a good idea. Ray if you think you have a weak battery now, try running without an alternator

Just kidding. I know Tim will figure it out, but I'm waiting for the write up before I consider this new bling.

Could you spin it 180 and run the bar across the trailing edge of the hole patten?

That might work for Tim. Ray, you and I have a big blue canister to deal with.

You're right Mike, that brace will only work with Suby lay outs like Tim's. Looks nice though.

Crit you can turn the mounts around and have it come off the rear I'm pretty sure. That was one of the ways I was thinking of getting around a stock mounted alternator if its in the way.

Ray and Mike it may clear the alternator if you don't have dual pulleys. I'll have to play with it when I get a chance. I just didn't feel like pulling my alt and putting it up top. Definitely needs to be looked at before I write it up.

I do think either way the stock air cleaner would still be a problem. But who uses those anymore

So my manager thinks that it's totally fine to post schedules weeks late- our schedule is usually posted 2 weeks in advance, but the schedule for this saturday the 31st until friday the 6th isn't even up. I requested Saturday off, but she often overlooks the approved days off and I'm not planning to miss the Mazmart meet. Maybe they'll be situated tomorrow. This new manager blows.

On a more interesting note, I bought a keyless entry kit off of ebay today. I think Mike? maybe was talking about how great it was to have it on his FB. Anyways, I can't wait to put it on. And it was <$40 shipped.

And I got the header stud and nut from Mazda the other day that backed out on me when I installed that exhaust. $11 bucks for it... And I had to go there twice since they ordered it wrong the first time. I had to get the guy to print out like 5 pages of diagrams so I could show him the right bolt. I think I should try to get a job there

What else..? My idle's a bit better. I need to re-adjust the TPS just a bit. And the headlight switch that guy sent me isn't good- the interior lights flicker. He said he'd take $15 off whatever else I buy, but I cant think of anything he's got that I really need.

My girlfriend just got another new car too, since she totalled her old one. She did have an AWD '02 Audi A6, and she got an '05 2-door Accord to replace it. Fun fun.

That's about it... night again OGTA.

Ray good pics for stock air filters. They may negate the installation of the strut bar. I'll make sure I reference these pics when I do the writeup thats for sure.

I'm gonna throw in a cross-post for a local buddy who's got to give up on his 78 project car. Ben's in Lilburn and a good guy, but he needs to find a new home for SA stuff.

Some nice stuff in there for the SA crowd Crit.

Zach I still have the shirt but it's in the museum, it will be worth some money some day.

Keep up the good work Brett, that's one of the nice things about owning a 2nd gen, you can put power door locks in it and it's normal. Power door locks in a 1st gen would be like power steering and AC ....ewwww....

Hey! There's nothing wrong with AC.

On a different note, I may have to sell the Lotus. Just dropped it off to get a few things fixed and they had a Noble sitting there (where's that drool smiley?). Gorgeous.

I want to keep it pristine Zach, if you wash that black fabric a time or two it loses its luster. Besides, I have something better, the real thing, I'll wear it Saturday.

Tim what's a Noble? Here you are driving around in a Lotus coveting other cars, have you talked with your therapist about this?

Hey Blue, you need a new picture under my hood that shows off my snazzy new ReSpeed cold air intake.

And I am with Tim, nothing wrong with AC. You may have a point with the power steering.

So I'm gonna be able to make it to both meets- I have Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday off. Hopefully I'll be able to show off the locks Tuesday if I can install them right. Cross your fingers!

Nice car Tim, but it doesn't even have a rotary, much less a 12A. Where's the love?

Greg, the plugs are Denso's, I got them really cheap at Autozone one day ($1.25 each), but when I went back they were more, around $2 each (but still way cheaper than NGKs).
