It was a fun meet and driving home felt great!. Unfortunately I have work all day tomorrow so the window/and door panel re-install has to be delayed to Thursday, but I am looking forward to a full red interior. Also, with 2 of everything in the hatch area, I can take the more faded pieces, and try to find a matching (or closer to red than faded pink) spray paint to try and get it looking like new. so we'll see how the next week unfolds for my car's overall "completeness" feel. It really feels like a more civilized suitable DD rather than a junky incomplete project car that I shouldn't even be driving. Thanks guys SO MUCH for all your help. I've already contacted a few people I know about welding the heater coolant hardline.

I just need to head to Autozone for some sticker shock, 3M automotive sticky tape, grease for my window tracks, a few vacuum caps, some vacume line (fo0r when I get a charcoal canister, and I should be set.

Also, Crit you asked me what else I needed to make my car complete, I need to either rebuild my non-working window switch, or get another one so I don't have to keep swapping them.

Ray, I'll PM you my number so I can come pick up the 12A FB fan and possibly the charcoal canister on Thursday.

He wants $3,500 for it Tim, but it's immaculate, almost unheard of for a Fiat (I love Fiats, especially their designs and handling, but they are rust buckets). That care caught my eye from across the parking lot.

Chris, I got you covered on the fan and most likely the charcoal canister but I was planning to stay home on Thursday and Friday to work on next week's lectures. So if we could schedule the pick up for later next week that would be great. And is there anything else you need while we are at it? (I have a nice set of brown leather door panels from an 85 GSL, power windows; not a perfect match for your red interior but since you have a Frankendstein anyway, they might look good).

And where's the pictures of the other cars!! Surely to have a few artsy photos of Jeremy's fine white FD??

Zach, M3 is a Mazda model (Mazda3). Where have you been, Pluto? Or maybe you have one of those German kinky fetish things about BMW's?

haha that pic isn't even taken at the OGTA, those are still on camera. Also, did you notice the "headlights" in the pic?

We might be able to meet up sometime next week, though school starts so I'll be in Marietta instead of Dekalb.

Ehh... I've got a few leaks to clean up. Tomorrow, I'm picking up a new header gasket from Mazda, and I'm putting the cat-delete pipe back on with a stack of (like 6) new gaskets. It was on, but I removed it and put on a cat and the bolts got stripped. So the delete pipe will have to work until I can get another cat that's got good rust-free studs. (The delete pipe was like a half inch short )

Anyways, here's the video's. I had to try to pop a few flames

Hey, the Mazmart thing sounds pretty cool.

Maybe we can get a caravan going down from the Suwanee area.

Donnie, I still want the FC oil cooler and lines. Billy is going to bring it to the next meet. If you I were you, I would show up at the next meet. Otherwise Billy gets the money as a finders fee.

OK, the rest of you guys can start piling on Donnie now for not showing Tuesday.

Didn't you hear Mike, Donnie locked his SA in the garage and couldn't get it out. No sense coming without the SA.

I might be able to make the MazMart meet.

Yeah, I wussed out Tuesday partly because of the rain. I didn't get home from work until late and it was starting to rain on my side of town. Then I remembered, I haven't fixed the wipers on my car yet . Man, I got a lot of work to do on these cars. May need some motivation.

I'll try for the Mazmart thing though.

Where are you at with the Pulsation Damper? You could have the FD back together and running pretty quick if you could get the time.

Any suggestions/ help? Can anyone tell me how to cut this piece out and can anyone eweld in a new support for the rear carpet? or should I just lay the carpet over this and know that the car isn't supposed to last me forever?

Chris, I should have that galvanized piece that's all rotted out over the rear deck but it looks like you'll need to go a bit deeper to arrest the problem. The worst of it will probably be under the storage bins, affecting the rear wheel wells. Pull out the bins and check this first, post some good pics and we'll help you with some suggestions.

My brown 85 GSL had the rear well rot, I did a sheet metal-fiberglass job that held up for several years without any indication of problems or deterioration (although I'm sure it wouldn't have lasted forever):

Check these links for details of my backyard Saturday afternoon repair, no special tools needed:
