OGTA / SE Regional Lakehouse Meet III - Third Time's the Charm!
The time is upon us again! Saturday May 22nd at 11am is the set time. A map from the Interstate can be found HERE. From the time you get to I-85 and the GA/SC border, figure on 15-20 extra minutes to get to the house. Keep in mind, too, that the last turn is a little tricky. When the road surface changes from nice to crappy, you need to stand on the brakes if you haven't already, then make the right into Harbor Point.
If anyone wants to come up early, you're welcome to. Dena and I will be up there on Friday the 21st, and everyone's welcome to stay through Sunday, especially those with a long drive or who plan on doing some good drinkin' and partyin'. We've got a few beds available, but TONS of room downstairs for blankets, pillows and sleeping bags. Everyone's welcome to bring as many guests as they like, but do what you can to stay out of a boinger - there WILL be separate (but equal) parking.
The Party Barge is available (no shoes... the mud sucks) as is the jet ski. If anyone has a boat, jet ski, etc. we've got room at the dock. Anyone who trailers up a watercraft will be declared immune of the anti-boinger stigma. Bonus points if you can tow in a rotary.
The same beer rule is in effect from before, Comerades! All beer is community beer so feel free to bring something fancy to share and be a hero, or just lots of the cheap stuff.
If you would, just paste up the list below and volunteer if there's something you can bring. Please make a note of both what you can bring, and how many people are with you. Outstanding needs are: Beer, Burgers, Dawgs, Buns, Ice, Baked Beans, Corn on the Cobb, Pasta Salad, Chips, Dip, Water, Plates, Plasticware, Cups, etc.
THE LIST:
Crit and Dena (Crit) - Propane for the grill, Potato Salad, all condiments etc., and breakfast on the 23rd.

Sweet! Micki and I will be there for sure. Micki has been bugging me wanting to know if Crit has said anything more on when the lakehouse meet for be. She is excited to see everyone again.
We can do like before and bring plates, cups, and that kind of stuff. I'll also think if there is something else we can make to bring that won't go bad on the drive down.

We should be able to come down this year. Elizabeth just broke her foot over the weekend and the cast should come off around that time. I will bring extras or whatever is not spoken for when I know for sure we are coming. Hopefully the FB will cooperate this year!

Well, the transmission is making funny noises. So, its possible I will be in a boinger. I should be in, I gotta get the day off. But, I will bring beer and the Cornhole set and I can make my Grandmother's recipe of her world famous baked beans.

Hey, someone a hold of Tim, Stu, Dave, Elizabeth and Sam, rope them all into a caravan, and get them down here together, would ya?
Seriously, though, with about 2 weeks left to plan, we need to get close to a solid head count and food count.

If you wind up on a dirt road, you went the wrong way.
I'll have to see when it gets closer. Heading to mexico a few days later.
So people are bringing dogs? Hmm, is everyone fond of their extremities?

Yeah That probably won't happen.
