Tina may be driving down in her BMW, so we would make our own caravan of 2!
She's also thinking of something to bring down food wise.

We met a guy at ZoomFest name Aaron (Ray was that his name?) with a sweet
tornado grey FB GS. He lives about 1.5 hours north of me up 77 just across the
line in Virginia. Anyway, if the timings right we could all meet up and come down
together but I might head down Friday night haven't decided yet on that.

Yeah That probably won't happen.

I'm sure thats because of Elizebeths broken foot, right

Aaron is his name and he was interested in coming down for the lake house, but I have no contact information and I don't think he's a forum regular. He has an OGTA card though, hopefully he'll get in touch. He lives in Kent's area, I do believe.

Good deal. I'm about 3hr or so from Tim, so it sounds like Aaron is probably at the very south part of VA.

It is starting to look like a good turn out. Hope that everyone can make it this time.

Anyway, we'll pull together a caravan. Maybe a stop in south VA to pick up Aaron, another stop at the NC/SC border, swing by to meet up with Michael in SC, and then go the rest of the way down.

I forgot, but I never said you'd need to ride in the same car

I'll caravan with whoever! I don't care. I just thought it was funny is all

i'll keep ya posted on on status. Speaking of status Crit,.. What's the Repu's?

And how the hell do i get the ZF banner URL damnit!

We've also got a HUGE basement that will sleep as many people as would care to stay over to Sunday. We'll be at Lake Hartwell, where I-85 crosses the GA/SC border the weekend of the 22nd.

I'm going to slow smoke a couple of pork butts this weekend and bring down
some NC BBQ. If someone can supply buns that would be great or you can just
pile it on your plates.

Peter has an FC, with a turbo no less. You don't want to take those things more than 10 miles from home. I'll see what I can do on the keg and strippers.

i drove to ft lauderdale on april the 9th, took part in a standing mile event and did 140 mph in the span of a mile on the 10th, and then drove back on the 13th.

not only does my fc have what it takes
bling BLOW!!

edit...

102 miles from area code 30319...

i could make it there and back on a tank of gas, and have enough gas to go almost 100 miles more.

Shoot, I drive 110 miles to work everyday, and I don't get hot dogs, Tim's home brew and a swim for a reward.

Not this year guys.

Michelle and I are not going to be able to make it this year. Michelle is in the middle of chemo and she just can't make a trip like this right now.

But, the rest of you need to get out there and have great Lakehouse Meet. We are counting on you to make Lakehouse III so good that there will definately be a Lakehouse Meet IV. We are planning to be there next year.

Ray don't bite off more than you can chew. I think you can handle the keg, but the strippers might be over your head. Unless, you are talking about wire strippers.

Well, we've had a minor complication pop up. The good, fancy side-by-side fridge and freezer in the kitchen failed last weekend. We've got an old conventional one in the basement though, as a backup. We'll use it, but it's not a bad idea now for us to bring a few bags of ice. All the mayo, cheese, etc. that were in there have been trashed, but Dena and I will restock the fridge with that stuff.

As I read it, we've got a total of 19 adults and 2 kids, plus a few maybes (Tim, Zach, Stu?) If y'all can look over the list and plan for 20-24 people's-woth of whatever you're bringing, please do.

I know that Tim is bringing BBQ, so it looks like we need some good BBQ sauce, hamburger buns, hot dog buns, baked beans, salad, soft drinks, chips and a good bit of ice. We need to flesh out the rest of the list as best we can by mid-week so Dena and I can go shopping for whatever we're short of. For those that can't bring something for some reason or maybe commit late, we can put out a "tip jar" for food. I think we're conspicuously short on beer.

For those that missed the F1 race in Monaco this weekend, we'll also have the Tivo

Crit and Dena - Propane for the grill, Potato Salad, all condiments etc., and breakfast on Sunday morning
Tim and Tina - home brew, NC pulled pork bbq and slaw
Kent and Micki - plates, cups, and that kind of stuff
Michael and buddy -
Ray and maybe Cathy - hot dogs
Jeremy -
Dave and Elizabeth -
Brett and Tara- Water and other non-alcoholic drinks
Billy, Jackie, Brenden and Kiersten - Hamburgers and sleeping bags.
Holly - not sure what to bring yet
