And Sam sorry I called earlier to see if you've ever meet "pillage6" because I decided to stop by QBall after I saw his white FB driving down Beach at around 5pm. I walked into QBall around 6:15 and saw his FB parked outside, but when I walked in I forgot who I needed to ask for or who I was even looking for Yeah I know, "FAIL!"

Also, does anyone want to buy or know anyone who'd like to buy a clean white S5? And does anyone here own an RX-8? I'm tempted to buy one so I can stay in the rotary community without having to deal with 20-year-old headaches. It'd be in my best interest to get a better DD and at the same time I still want that DD to be a fun car for me to hold onto.

I found time to drive one today (it was a GT) and I was actually impressed and with the condition of the car, the low miles, and the prices these cars are going for, the idea of buying one seems very lucrative. Another suggestion was an MS6 that I found dirt cheap at another dealership (Josh I know you have one, info?).

But this still kind of sucks because I worked at Ford and I'd really like to help them out. I feel ssooo bad shopping around; if I could I'd love to have a Mustang (and I'd prefer to wait till the 2010's come out anyways --> Pure Sex IMO), but can't afford the insurance for a V8 (I'm hoping somehow the rates for the RX-8 have magically dropped down). I know this is all pretty much blasphemy, but maybe now isn't the time for me to be tinkering with a 7. IF I do get rid of it, I'll definitely come back and find another one to really get my hands dirty. Hopefully in the near future when I have the space, time, and money/flexibility. And I know monthly payments means more money but at least I wouldn't have to wake up every morning praying my car will start or drive everyday hoping no old parts will suddenly break/need replacement or restrict myself from driving out of town or have to deal with fixing or not having the little things.

Sorry for the long post, I'm just frustrated with stuff and I'm looking for suggestions or other options aside from toughing it out.

 

Correction, I had one. Its a good car, comfy and nice ride, 274 HP and All Wheel Drive. nuf said, lol

What the Hey!!! I leave Jacksonville just over a month ago and now 7's are popping out of the wood work. I think that it musta been some kinda conspiracy thing, or something!!

Found a nice 85 GSL-Se here for around $2300... just gotta get the better half to ok the deal... Might have to do some trading or something. How's everyone out in J-ville? Not bad here. The mountains are great and there is this 25 mile mountain road that has lots and lots of curves... plus there are miles and miles of open highway. Man I love it out here. Will love it even more when I get another 7. You guys all know I had to sell my FB, and my son still has the vert. He is repairing the oil cooler lines and replacing the top.

Hey, I just recently got my 90 GTUs and have been tryin to find some people in Jacksonville. Are there any meet-ups or good rotary shops? I live in atlantic beach and have not seen one 7 since I've had mine. I'm also trying to find some people that have some parts I'm looking for. I met this guy Kevin that lives in Gainesville (got some parts from him) and referred me to this forum. I tried making a seperate thread, but that didn't work out so well. So now I'm seein if I can find some people thru this thread.

Sightings:
Saw a red FB on Beach Blvd yesterday around 2pm going towards the Beach after passing the Southside overpass (was this you Justin?).
I also saw an unfamiliar FC today at Mayport base when I was on my way out. It was a (not to be mean) poorly painted black S4 with single exhaust parked at one of the buildings next to the Clinic. I wanted to drop a note, but I felt weird doing it on base especially when there was a cop behind me lol.

 

I should be ready to drive my baby next week.

 

hey who ever is in the mood to hit on girls that are get drunk then come down to steemworks bar this upcoming friday night. beer only bar. actually its kinda a dive bar but hey, its better then just doing nothing . come out to 5 points!!!!

 

I want to start meeting up, but before I get out anywhere, I need to get my car painted. So I am doing that hopefully this week. Got to make it look good before it goes out bc some kid that had it before sanded it, primed it, and SPRAY painted it black. Kinda embarrasing, but its my project car. Gotta start somewhere.

Oh Ok. Yeah the new job's pretty cool so far. I start real work next week since this is my last week of training. As for the FC I'm just so aggravated with replacing parts and I want to be able to DD this thing everywhere without having to constantly worry about stuff. It might sound kind of lame, but after I found out insurance is too high for an RX-8 I decided to look into a MazdaSpeed Miata that a guy is a selling. SO I don't know....
