We used to have 20-40 rotaries show up for the meets. After I resigned from the magazine I didn't even touch my car for a couple of years and was off the forums. Now that I'm healed up I have a strong desire to get my car on the road and find all of the old meet guys too. Dan's handle was WestJaxVert.

I just removed the old CP Racing flush mount headlight kit and going back to stock. They look somewhat like the RE Amemiya FC2000 lights if anyone wants them just PM me and come pick them up. They make me angry.



PS. Child slave labor not included, but the lights are free.

Hey guys. I'm a new owner of a white rx7 gtu. I also live in Jacksonville and I'd like to check out some of the local meets.

 

Welcome. I think Peter's organizing a local meet soon and I'll help host some in the near future when my FC is done. We're pretty close now Powerfc is going in, have to do the urethane bushings kit on the undercarriage, needs to be tuned on the dyno, new wheels are going on this week, have to install the wideband sensor, I guess about a month's worth of work in total.
Still looking at body kits--have to replace the front air dam either way as I had to cut the stock one up to fit those damned cpracing flush mounts. Then get it sprayed.

I'd be interested in checking out those CP Racing flush headlights if you would like to get rid of them.

 

I've got a buddy who wants them for his FB, but I told him he will need to do a lot of cutting to fit an FB. If he doesn't want them, they are yours. I can bring them to the next meet when my car is done or we can make other arrangements. I'm leaving the working lights in them too. Remember that these are for an FC. I should know shortly.

EDIT: OK, I just spoke to him and he's gonna test fit them this week and if they don't fit they are yours.

Even though I'm not driving the 7 I'm up for any future meets as long as I get a heads up in advance. I ran into Pete at the bank today, but didn't recognize him until we started talking. My bad Pete, I only met you once and that was like 2-3 years ago! Real jealous of the new whip too

I don't think so. I don't normally go to Sonics unless it's after a meet, but I may have met you towards the end of the last meet at Girvin. I was driving a black Mazda P5 at the time.

 

Heh no problem. Thanks, the STi makes a pretty sick DD. Plan on driving my 7 out to the Cars and Coffee meet this Saturday at Wild Wing off Southside. My brother-in-law should be out with me too in his TT Supra.
