Huh? An i;'m pretty sure you only need a flapper if you go 40mm i only want 38mm and if you have the tool than lets do it!

DJ, if you open the wastegate hole anywhere near 35mm+ you will need to make a new wastegate door. You can only open one of the wastegate ports really large. The other can't be. Not enough material.

I know that Harley I posted may not seem that impressive, but take in mind that in 1938 that engine was 27 horsepower and it's only 45 cubic inches.

That's pretty cool, but I still think taking a 1938 45ci 26hp engine and making dang near a 100hp is freakin awsome.

DJ, I replace the flapper door with a stainless washer.

If I can get the port large enough, then yes, even on a S5. The problem with the S5 wastegate holes are they are pretty much about as large as they can be. The wastegate hole closest to the middle, you really can't open much. The other hole near the outside, you can't open much, but you can make the inside of the hole bigger and smoother.

Well, I got Anthony's turbo apart today and began working on porting the wastegate holes. I just hope this will help eliminate the creep. Anywho, I took a few pics.

Stock S5 wastegate holes.

A camparison

I pretty much finished up the porting on Anthony's turbo today. I even ground the rear cover to allow for the wastegate to open more. The only thing that I need to finish is welding the wastegate door to the arm, and reinstalling the wastegate. Then I can put it all back together.

Thanks you sir. Next thing on the list is to port some housings and irons for Mills. Yes, Housings and Irons! Maybe he will notice a slight power difference with the housings being ported too
