Stu that gave me an idea. If you limit that to NEXT MEET 2/10 or FEB 10 then it shows up and is really easy to spot as you scroll through the thread pane. Newbies would see it clear as day.

 

Dude...maybe you should keep that between you and your doctor! I just hate being the only one with the video, and me leading the group. I remember a while back, Stu got a quick clip of the FB shooting a knarly flame, but I want MORE! Like I've told you guys before, if you want I can edit the video, and post it on You Tube. I love doing that kind of stuff.

saw a second gen red vert today in mooresville. maybe hes on here and will check it out. also saw a black 3rd gen with a big intercooler and the driver headlight missing but i think i saw his car in the meet pix. tried to flag down the vert but he was gone when i finally got into traffic.

 

ya the one with the headlight cover missing was there, he just bought it from another guy that used to come to the meets.

I have seen a red vert running around Statesville before. If it's the same one, it was a really nice clean one.

 

this one was pretty clean. no external mods i could see. o btw do any of you guys have a wiper switch for a 2nd gen that works layin around? mine took a dump and i hate havin to flick the switch off at the right moment to get the wipers down.

 

o and also if nebody knows who has one. im gonna be needing a haltech or electromotive tec3 or somethin sometime in the near future. hopefully used and not full price, lol.

 

I was hoping to be done with it. But it is taking me alot longer than I anticipated it taking. And my buddy who is teaching me how to do it is not letting me just"spray It" silver and be done with it. It still will not be perfect afterwards, but closer than before When I do it correctly it will get a "new look" all round.
Not to mention that i had only planned on doing the headlight housings and bumper, I got motivated and welded the cracks and such back up. Which now requires I get more paint and get into a booth that can fit the car in order to spray the quarters( the current one is big enough, just no way to get into the booth with a car)

Speaking of seeing silver fd's...When i was driving home after the meet I saw who i think was the same one I saw at discount a while earlier. Gave him a rev as he was getting into the car. I think he saw the 2 sevens dissapering.

I could shoot video. My camera is good with that, but as long as I don't have to zoom in mega far. I'll see if I can make another mount. I got a couple Ideas I was bouncing around with at work. And you have to lead the group... You are like the only one who know's the area! lol. I would say come down here, but the police count has gone through the roof and it would probably just end up being a 7 parade.

a used Tec3 will still cost as much or even more than a new haltech and still really isn't any better. They're nice and all but over rated in my opinion. and no i'm not being biased because i'm a Haltech dealer

Well, I think we still could use some more video. If Robbie comes to the next meet, he has a video camera also. Between the 3 of us, we could put together some kick *** footage. As far as the T shirts idea, I think that would be cool. I'll check with Robbie on the cards, and we can see how much interest we have in the shirts. Man, this thing is getting off the hook! We are really starting to represent. I have a local parts store owner who is the original owner of a 83 LE. He has been talking to me about getting it back on the road. He has always had it garage kept, and says the car is cherry. I hope I can pursuade him to let me get it up and running for him. He has seen my Turbo FB, and fell in love with it. I hope it gave him the motivation to get his running again. That way we can add one more to the group!

 

yea i was lookin last night and was like damn. i hope that thing is plug and play and can program the car by itself for that damn much. im leaning towards the haltech now but i also saw that greddy makes an emanage ultimate for the car too. anyone know someone thats used this or have any comments on it? o yea, bad 83 i saw you at kerr drug in troutman today too.
