Zac is a pretty knowledgable guy. He set me straight on some tuning issues I had when I first got my blowthrough running. He talked me through some things over the phone. I had never meet the guys before, and he helped me anyway. So, you will hear some good stuff about him from us. The meet is scheduled to be at 1 pm. When you get to the light to turn into Target, we park straight ahead. Hard to miss us.

Hey guys, looks like I won't be able to bring the SA out this time. I fucked up the presilencer today and broke off all of studs on it. :-( I might be getting a replacement pipe made tomorrow at a local exhaust shop but I'm not sure. I will say its loud as **** now though.

 

Dang, what did you do? Did you finally swap the trans out? If you are running the RB muffler, just have a pipe run from the header to the muffler pipe. If the muffler shop tries ro give you a bunch of crap about it's supposed to have a cat there, you tell them it didn't come with cats that year, it had the thermol reactor. They will look at you like your crazy.

 

There's a muffler shop in Mt Holly/Belmont that'll do whatever you want. "A-1" I think.

 

Well, I went to the muffler shop here in town and they welded in a pipe in place of the presilencer and i got it all back together so its all good ill be there tomorrow with the SA. I even washed it today! :-)

 

ok so the dyno drag made me realize how slooooowwwwwww my car is today, lol, (16.3 1/4mile). but a friend of mine up here in a-ville has a turbo kit for the 7 for 500 bucks. all i need is intercooler and piping and a standalone of some sorts. but it comes with the manifold, downpipe, t70 turbo, and wastegate. so needless to say im not gonna be slow to much longer. also regretfully i wont be able to make it to the meet tomorrow due i have install the clutch on that s2000 b/c i eneded up spending friday night till saturday morning in the hospital with my brother. but there always the next one. and also, i talked to my sisters b/f today and he said if we can get a bunch of us together we can rent the dyno for 600 bucks for 8 hrs. if we get enough of us together on this we could make this a really cheap dyno day. just a thought lemme know and we can get a date set.

 

you all are more than welcome to hop on our dyno. $50.00 and we'll do anywhere from 3 - 5 pulls.

600.00 means atleast 12 people have to dyno for it to be 50.00 a person... if not then it's gonna be more. but if enough of you get involved then that could be a great deal. just something to think about


Fc3sncc: what manifold does that kit have? most TII exhaust manifolds won't allow the turbo to clear the 6ports intake setup.

This is a good deal. And you don't have to drive to Asheville. Nt too far but still a 2 hour drive. And unless i am getting tuned i really don't want to make alot of pulls. 3-5 should get you whatever #'s your car has to offer without tuning.


We should have both rx's there the FD ( without a front bumper,..still sandind) And the FC.

Im headed up to Asheville to pick up an engine that was too good of a deal to pass up. I am hoping to be back in time for the meet although I may have to stop by in a truck with the engine in the back.

I just got done with my week long affair of putting struts on.... 11:42 on meet day haha. Weather here in charlotte is a little cloudy, but feels good outside. I was hoping I can squeeze another day of not having to get wipers... but I guess now is the time. Shower, get some wipers and I am on my way. I'll be there about 1:15-1:30

well i never knew what your dyno prices were but now that i do i will be headin your way. i was just throwin out ideas. as far as that manifold goes, i know its aftermarket but thats all i know for now. i just finally got back to my parents from puttin in the clutch. and ill be leavin here about 630. im gonna run by and see if you guys are still hangin out, but if not ill see ya guys on the next one. btw heres a link to my 1/4 run.
