Dates are set.... Second Sunday of every month To bad you are going to Asheville for this meet. You should not go there and come meet with us. All that gas just to go dyno dragging? We can bench race over a beer and not use any gas.:P What are you dyno dragging, and where?

 

you need spring compressor for suspension? I have a cheap set i use every now and then in my garage. I can bring them to work tomorrow in Charlotte and you are more than welcome to them.

 

For the front struts, yes . I got the shock off for hte most part, but getting them aligned with the 1" spacer and spring is impossible. I had some that was just a big screw with a 5/8 iirc socket for a impact to fit, with hinges, I guess you can say.

If you want to let me borrow them, then, well, no problems there! Let me know when/where you want to meet up, my lunch is 2-3 and I get off at 6. I can bring them back when we get to the meet.

well i have to finish up a clutch job on my not so mechanically inclined friends s2000 friday night. then on saturday im gonna run the 7 at my sisters friends shop at their dyno drag cause they said they need somebody that knows how to run a 1/4 mile right to show the other poor kids how. and if all is right i will be back in mooreville by noon sunday and still make it to the meet. so i guess im gonna have another full weekend. oh and for god sakes i need someone to show me how to fix the idle on this god forsaken car, its drivin me up a wall.

do you know a guy named Jerry with a silver pro-charged mustang in Asheville? He is friends of my old boss there and He dynos quite a bit. That car is/was very fast when i rode in it about 11/2 year ago. @6oorwhp

 

nah but i did ride in my old neighbors up there. but his was 1292rwhp. but this was in clyde just west of asheville.

Stu!! I called and left you a message yesterday. I know it's a pain trying to change struts without a spring compresser. Hey, offers still good on bringing them over, and I can switch everthing over. If all else fails, you can drive the SA if you want.

 

Yeah, I got your message this morning. Thing is, now that I have a strut off, I cant put it back on because... the spring is off lol. If I get the spring compressors tomorrow I might as well change them all out

Besides, it would be nice to do something on my car myself... AND WORK haha. I have done some things but nothing ever works.

One last thing, I talked to Robert at the shack, and even he does not know what the heck is up with my carburetor. I think I have been ebay scammed, I can't even find the guy I got it from. Time to look for a 48...

thanks for the welcome. and im glad you guys and girls like to share knowledge cause i know jack about a rotory yet. my car only has 46000 original miles on it but one of my rotary buddies is ashevegas told me the compression was fluctuating a bit so i guess i need to diagnose it and possibly shooting for a rebuild or possibly a tII swap this spring if the taxes come back good. cant wait to meet all of you sunday.

 

I know where freedom is at. I remember seeing a post from you a while back saying you hardly see any 7 owners. I'll head up that way and give you a call before I get there!

there's a 1292 hp mustang in CLYDE?! I live very near there. But fc3snnc, was that dyno thing at Appalachian Performance? I hear they do a lot of stuff there.
Once my FB is running, I will definently be at one of these meets. My girlfriend lives right near statesville so I will have a reason to drive that far. (not that I wouldn't love to come anyway!)

yea there is lol, actually theres 2, a blue 95 and a maroon 89 lx. yea the dyno thing is at appalachia performance. my sisters boyfriend runs the dyno there.

I never thought anything existed in Clyde besides Old Grouches and the anit-aircraft gun...dang.
If I have Sunday off, I might run out to the dyno and we could meet up.

 

Well, I was just offering. BTW, did you mark the strut bearing plate to be put back in the same spot in came out? If not, you may totally screw up your caster and camber. Did you ever find out what Tim's jetting is? Here's the thing. You have two intakes, and neither is doing you any good without a good carb. I don't think your carb is bad, I think there is something going on with it that we have over looked. It might be a good idea to break it down, and give it a good cleaning.

 

lol my parents live behind the fire station in clyde. ill be in canton doin that clutch friday night. and the dyno drag is saturday. sunday i have to leave there about 10am so i can get back down here for the mooresville meet.
