lol i didn't hit 36... it was more like 28 - 30psi for 3 dyno pulls. didn't hurt the motor at all, just blew out the intake gasket i was on c16 and that motor is still up and running in a fellas car out in canada now with no issues.

you guys know that most people blow their engines giving joy rides right? on that note.. i'll just leave it on pump gas and save the c16 for the money runs aahahaha

 

anyone know a guy named Tyler? I was in the target area(about 2 o'clock today) and saw a silver FD pulling into the bay at discount tire. Someone was getting new shoes I went in to see if the owner was there, they called for a tyler but noone answered. I went back a l;ittle later but still not there. I wanted to talk to the owner about our meets uop there. Hopefully Tyler is already a member and knows about them.

Maybe we can come up with a business card type of thing like the raleigh crew had/has. So when we see a rx out there on the road we can put a card under a wiper or somthing. Whatcha guys think?

sounds like a plan to me, if everyone is good with it i can have my wife get some cards made either from here stepdad who runs a printing place or i can have her get some off this one website that does them for free with frequent customers. im have the seen cars in mooresville and a couple in statesville but no way to contact them.

 

I always thought that would be a great idea. Nothing fancy. Just info on the website, our local meets, and maybe someones number.

 

Dammit I've been caught! hi everybody. Been a bit of a lurk on the board here since I never have time off and therefore wouldn't be able to make to many of the meets.....BigIslandSevens thanks for giving me a bit of a scare..I was over at o'charlies having lunch waiting for my new tires when as i walk out i see the back of my car pulling out of lot!!!!! so here i am thinking "those ************* they're taking my car out for a drive...those ************* I'm so getting my tires for free!" moments later I realize hey man thats not my car...hey hey wait.

 

good stuff. I was sitting in the turn lane waiting and saw a flash to my left, looked over and saw the car, started yelling at the light come on, come on!! Gotta get there before he leaves,..haha!! The guys(kids) working on it looked at me a bit strangely when i asked where the owner of the car was. Like why what he do to ya.. Well next meet is Jan. 13 i believe, schedule it in now, for we know you exist and will hunt you down if you don't show... Sorry I didn't meet up with you. I almost went in to Ocharlies to take a quick look for a fellow FD owner begging for scraps from the bar tend...haha!

As for the cards, we could maybe take a big group pic of the cars that come next meet. I have made cards before with a pic as the background. But yeah nothing to fancy,Like Sam said, Meet schedule time( I.E. second sunday etc...) Rx7club info and maybe a screenname or at least this thread name to reference if they are new to the boards and don't know there way around well.

ya the cards sound like a really good idea. ive been seein a few 7's around the area near campus and have no way of lettin them know of our meets so that would be a great idea.

 

Hey Sereneseven... You wouldn't happen to drive a silver FD around Mooresville by any chance? I've only seen that FD several times around this town/city/traffic jam... whatever you want to call this place... Just curious.

Yep thats probably me, I've only ever seen one other silver fd near davidson once...untill the other day when i saw B.I.S's....seriously the traffic was out of controll the day i got my tires, it took me an honest 30min to get from talbert park (behind mazda dealer) to the target parking lot .

 

hey guys i know we were talking about maybe making a card we could carry with us and put under a wiper blade or something to get a bigger turnout, and spread the word about our meets and the website. well i had a couple minutes tonight to mess around and came up with this, its simple and to the point

let me know if there are any errors on there and give me some input on what you all think

I could add the SE section under there if you want, makes since. Well i can play with that when i get off work today. glad everyone likes it so far. that logo i made a while back and thought about getting some stickers made for every one too. what do you all think about that ??

That's looking good Robbie. If everyone is wanting to do this, I think it would only be fair to Robbie and Amy for us to chip in on the expence. Robbie, find out how much these are going to be, and we will contribute our part. The next meet is going to be killer. New presents, new cards, and hopefully some new friends!

 

I like the design, has all the right stiff on it and its black and white. Nice and simple. Good work Rob.

I would just add to the card a reference to the SE section for details. No specific links because they may change in the future and the title of this meet thread might change as well, who knows. Keep it fairly generic and you won't have to reprint these for a long while.

How many cards do we need and how much is the total to print them up? We can just divide up the costs amongst us at the next meet.

 

I am down for that. I can't wait to show off my new goodies when the meet comes up. I should have everything installed by then.

Let us know the pricing, I want to throw in my 2 cents. Har har.

Well............I won't be back in town till Sunday.............I think I am just going to put the spare FB tranny in there, and say the hell with it. I don't think I have to much to worry about keeping things in original condition with the SA . O'well, I wanted to see how things were going to hold up in the SA before I decided to sell it. Now I know...........
