And I thought Stu was messed up....... I didn't know you had it in ya Cory. I finished rebuilding Rick's carb tonight. I have never rebuilt a Nikki and got the thing to do right first try. Stupid Nikkis. Anywho. After a little tweaking, the LE is running pretty good now. The gas still looks like mud though. Rick said he should have the wheel cylinders and breaks in tomorrow. He has ok'ed me to got some new tires for the LE wheels. I told him that if we get his car done by this weekend, he better bring it to the meet Sunday.

Hopefully the parts for Josh Longs car will be here before the end of the week. It would cool to add two more first gens to the meet I guess I'm going to make an appearance with the Turbo FB. Bev said I could come up for a little bit, then I'll have to head to Harmony for my nieces birthday.

 

hmm, so sam got me thinking about something, and so i have been doing some homework about it. i thought I had a vac leak, but i traced all of the lines and to no avail. so sam mentioned that it sounded like the tps was wacked out. so i did some thinkin' and realized that the timing, tps, and idle adjustments are diffrent on the manuals, im guessing due to the extra weight of the tourqe converter, the tps is set diffrently. so tomorrow im gonna adjust the tps again and see if that is the problem. im really digging a N/A rotary powered car that when you grab second it slings the *** end around. and who said rotary's aint got any tourqe. its a totally diffrent car now, everything feels diffrent even the steering. im also gonna install a S3 steering wheel in my car I do belive, that huge truck airbag is starting to freak me out. the Air bag light flashed at me the other day so...... anyhows, longs car is comming along nicely especially with only 32000 miles o the car....

 

Got the transmission and driveshaft out of josh's car. The driveshaft on the transmission side has good u joints only one way, the other way has maybe 1/4 inch of movement...

wow dave i told you about takin pictures of my **** and havin cory shape it out of snow for the world to see. jeez i was tryin to keep everyone from knowin i was hung like ron jeremy. i already leave 3 prints in the sand at the beach. as far as nething else goes the new clutch and trans are in but i need a driveshaft cause ive got a universal failing. to bad they aren`t servicable driveshafts, so now i need to either buy a whole new one or find a used one someone wants to let go of for cheap.

 

I don't know who ron jeremy is, but thanks to wikipedia, that has changed. I still dont know what you and him have in common until I read wikipedia. Apparently he gives himself auto-fel-lay-she-oh.

falcon punch? now thats f'ed up...... lol i got the S2 steering wheel on my car today and man, does it look sexy. i had the horn hooked up, buti broke my clock spring so im gonna conver it over to the 1st gen style clock spring so i can have a horn. it looks way better than that airbag n my lap. im turning my second gen into a first gen. lol me and stu tryed to install a SA shifter but it will need to be modified because the ball is made diffrently at bottom. something about that truck looking shifter was awsome to me.......... i moss my old school car..... i guess im gonna have to get the ol' celica back on the road here in the next few months then.....

 

So is it going to be a 7 meet or a carshow? Is everybody going to Carowinds on the 15th still?

im planning on entering my vert i will have it painted and turboed by then, im shure im gonna be the only vert rx7 there. and yes I im going to the auto-x on the 15th as long as i can get my tranny to stop leaking, its making me a little sick from the smell of burnt gear oil.lol i got the seal today, just gotta drop the driveshaft tomorrow.
