I77 & I40 Crossroads rotary meet
Thanks Tim. It's priced to sell. So Stu. You could always use your FB for a track car......I would even let you come up and drive the SA some. You know. Just to make sure it's what you want
I really don't want to sell the old girl, but the last couple of months out of work has really put a hurtin on me. I have even relisted Big Blue............https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=781516

I've wondered that too Tim>. When are the OGTA heads coming up here. As it stands the count is at least 3 trips for us down to there turf and no return favors??? Comon OGTA, We visit you!
Those FW nuts and front hub bolts can be stubborn *****. I have a 400+ foot LB impact and I couldn't break a front pulley bolt loose. Grabbed my co-workers big dog and just about twisted the engine over in the back of the car
But it gave in to the more than 650 foot LBS of torque
I have been thinking of your project Tim. I saw a show on the baja and saw a Meyer maynx( not correct name probably) Pretty easy build just bolts a FG tub onto a beetle chassis. Old school baja!

Either your pully bolt is freakin welded on, or I have the strongest arm ever... I just used a socket and ratchet, twisted right off for me. I R SUPRMAN.
Daaaaave, I told you to keep that on the down low

you must be superman because they are "supposed" to be torqued to 350ish foot pounds! They are on there usually. But yeah you are pretty badass!
I did a nice one wheel peel today when i got lost in the backroads
Stu, There is Grand-Am on speed right now and the Le-mans from Toronto after
Road race day for me!

Road race day for me!There is a online TV show or something, like a whole channel for cars. I think it is called torque tv or something, has a ton of cool stuff.
Hey Holly, No I can't remember meeting there. However I have property in the Mountains, Saluda NC. ( bout 45 minutes up I 26 from Spartanburg.) We can maybe try to plan a meet there and have a nice cook out, drives thru the mountain roads. Real close to Chimmney rock area, Also the Blue Ridge parkway is within 45 minutes of us as well..
We have plenty of room for as many as can show up. Also we have 3 houses on the property. ( 1 real house, 2 rustic cabins with water and elctric) We have had the property for about 34 years so we don't have to worry about anything.
I'll post up a offer in the OGTA thread later on. You going to the Pettit this year Holly? I am planning on it again this year. Maybe I can get Stu and some others to come down as well.
wow!! didn't know this was a "thread with the most posts" contest. but yeah, i could consider a meet in the other direction. and g/l sam on the sale of the 7. hope it don't take too long for things to work out with ya. and tim, i've found that extra leverage(cheater bars/metal pipe on ratchet) usually win the battle against stubborn bolts.

AND YESssss, I will be at Petit LeMANS. You can camp out at Petit, or I'm just 14 miles between exits off of I-85. Rotorheads welcome at my house.
Stu - my RX-7 was titled in 3 states.. MD, GA & FL .. When I first moved to GA my title had a Loganville, GA address.

Holly, when you get your 7 (not an if, WHEN
) get a SA. I miss mine so much and they were both semi junk, one being complete dryrotted on the inside, the other with no interior.
Hey I was just up in Statesville a few hours ago, passing through on my way back from Massachusetts, and I didn't see a single RX-7 in the whole damn town. It was 2a.m. too, the place should have been crawling with them.
What good is traveling up that way if you guys don't turn out for your meets? Or did I have the wrong Sunday?

Ray you should have let us know when you were coming thru. we could have given youa rolling escort down 77, maybe with a stop at Bob Evans for a snack.
Shame on you for sneaking thru and not stopping to say hi. Pretty unsocialable, but you can make it up by coming to our next meet!
Were you driving your 7?

I was in a rented Kia Optima, Cathy and all our baggage wouldn't fit in the 7. The Optima is a nice car actually.
Man I77 is a hoot at 1:30 am coming down the mountain on a Monday morning with a bevy of semi-trucks in front and in back. Must go on for fifty miles.
Those semis have a certain way they want to come down the mountain: 80 mph and NO BRAKING ALLOWED!! And they make sure you abide by it.
More fun than Zoomfest!
Keep rumbling about a joint meet, I'm sure it will happen.
Just post it on the OG@TA thread, OK?

after much thought and consideration, i think im going to abandon the twin turbo project. so id any of you knoe anyone looking for a nearly new twin turbo setup send em my way. i am going to take the proceeds and fund a single turbo project. i know the setup is worth more than what i paid so if someone helps me sell it for what they are really worth there will be some money in it for them also. gimme a call at home for details on prices, 7042576748.

Hey David, I am free the rest of the day, and tomorrow in the afternoon/evening. I'll bring some stuff over and we can spec everything you have handy. Your going 13b, right?
EDIT: Just read your sig. Silly me.
