I77 & I40 Crossroads rotary meet
Cool deal Stu. So Dave, when are you going to bring the FB by and let me see it? I have a guy from Washington D.C. who says he really wants the SA. We'll see. He is supposed to call me this afternoon and talk about possibly coming down this weekend to look at it. We'll see.............
good god almighty i hate fuel issues sometimes, went over to daves today to give him some a/c parts. get to denver and the car dies, figure the ghetto fuel filter i had clogged up and overheated the pump. wrong. changed that at daves, barely made it home, pulled the brand new walbro out and the sock is literally black. guess that sock didnt like premix. retrofitted the factory rx7 sock to it and wow i guess i forgot how good that car ran with fuel pressure. oh and dave i fixed the link in my sig for ya, lol.
Gotcha on the link. Good deal on the filter sock as well. At least they are cheap if you need another one sometime.Sam, As soon as I get some time I will come over. I have the second gen coil in the FB for when I get there
Gotta get some more 2 inch piping and route an exhaust to the back of the car and the MS can/flamethrower Stu supplied me with for Zoom-Fest tickets. Although someone..? cut the damn hangers off it
Gotta make new onesWhat are those Irons from Stu? Still have them?

you know whats funny, I havent seen any liquid on the floor, but the car smells like meldew inside it now. i thought it was because of the rain but the car stills smells like that. allmost as if its getting stronger. and Josh pointed out that theres a weird film on my windshield but no smell of antifreeze in the heat. but then i realized that theres not much if any antifreeze in it, its mostly just water. im gonna flush it and put in straight antifreeze to see if i can get any smells. i just figured that if it was a coolant seal, you would see smoke out of the exaust or in the oil but I have been known to be wrong.

Those irons are the same black ones that are on the SA. Just stripped and colored different
I have a ton more pictures of it, apparently I backed up the memory card on the old camera before my exhaust piping fell and destroyed it. I got a few Irons here that I will be porting. Who knows... for the right amount, I could port some and sell them here

Here is the port painted and ready to rock for the most part. I will get some better paint (this was just random spray paint) tomorrow and really work out the bridge.
I may also pick up some fiberglass to do some fiber work I have been wanting to do, or get an air powered drill thing so I can start the porting. Yeah, my lack of technical terms frightens even me.
EDIT: Looks like I will be notching some housings. I laid a housing down and noticed I am missing some bridge...

So I took a side seal and kinda scraped very lightly to make a line in the paint, to see where the housing laid pre-cut. If you can look closely, you can see it.

So I laid the template back on it and came up with a teeny bit over 3mm that the housing scrape and edge of the port...

and took the same measurement and laid it against the housing to see how far I will have to cut into it to have a completely open port.

Hmm. Well 1mm would be ok to have as support for the coolant seal, but as extra precaution It looks like I will have to head to the lab tomorrow and make some molds of this part of the housing and cast a 1mm wall for the inside of the coolant seal, to give it more support. I heard you can use a side seal, and file it down until it is no higher than the housing, but looking at that it seems like it would create a big pinch on the seal, plus filing it down that much and having it turn to that degree of an angle would seem to make it prone to snapping. Better offf just making my own piece and laser welding it into place.

Stu looks good the only problem is we are in the USA get rid of the metric crap LOL
There is a button up top that says "mm/inch" push it and life will make sense LOL
Guys i got the brake lines fixed and took it for a test drive made a huge difference, had a little scare though, the throttle got stuck on me. I hosed it with WD-40 and all is well so i hope to be at the next meet, cross your fingers.
